01How this reading was produced

When a Saju reading seems accurate, there are usually two possible reasons. Either it really was accurate, or the reader already knew the answer. Unless the second possibility is ruled out, any comparison that follows means nothing. So we state the conditions of generation first.

Before generating, we searched all 8 prompts for 1867, Warsaw, 바르샤바, Curie, 퀴리, Skłodowska, Sklodowska, 스크워도프스카, Polonium, 폴로늄, Radium, 라듐, Nobel and 노벨, and confirmed there was not a single hit. That is why the reading describes its Luck Pillars by age only, with no years. We added the years afterwards. The ages are counted the Korean way (age 1 at birth), so the age-1 pillar is 1867 to 1876 and the age-31 pillar is 1897 to 1906.

To be clear, this is a post-hoc comparison. We already know her life, and we picked the passages that fit it. It is not a prediction. Section 05 below says more about this limit.

02Birth time correction

In 1867 Warsaw belonged to the Kingdom of Poland under the Russian Empire and had no standard time. The city kept Warsaw mean time (UTC+1:24), set by its own longitude, until Central European Time came in under German occupation in 1915. So the 12:00 on the baptism certificate should be read as Warsaw's clock.

節氣 (solar term) frame1867-11-07 18:36:00+8 hFor the year and month pillar boundaries

Unlike Einstein's Ulm, here the 1867 value for Europe/Warsaw in the time zone database (+1:24) matches Warsaw's actual longitude, so taking the zone name as it is does not put you off. What remains is the equation of time. Early November is when it reaches its yearly maximum, so the sun was a little over 16 minutes ahead of the clock.

The correction did not change the stems and branches. 午時 runs from 11:00 to 13:00, and the corrected 12:16 sits close to its middle. The margin to the nearest boundary, 13:00, is 43.8 minutes. If the recorded time is right, there is little room for the hour pillar to move. The dispute over the record itself is set out in section 05.

03The full reading

Below is the text Orienteller's in-depth reading actually produced for this chart, translated from the Korean original. The engine writes in Korean; the translation follows it sentence by sentence and adds nothing. Edits to the Korean original, if any, are limited to the form of address produced by the blank name field and obvious typos; the footer gives the exact count. Only the passages confirmed by the record are left sharp; the rest is hazed. To read the whole text, turn off the switch below.

The Four Pillars (四柱) of Your Chart

Your Saju is a map that sets up the year, month, day and hour of your birth as four pillars. The pillar of your birth year is Jeong-myo (丁卯). Yin fire (丁) sits on the green branches of the Rabbit (卯), so the background of your childhood may have been soft and delicate, like candlelight. The pillar of your birth month is Gyeong-sul (庚戌). Yang metal (庚) rests on the dry earth of late autumn (戌). It is a shape in which a firm, principled energy supports you in your youth, as you step out into society.

The pillar of your birth day is Sin-myo (辛卯), the center that points to you yourself. The Day Master (日干) is yin metal (辛). It is not crude iron but something closer to a polished jewel or a fine needle for metalwork. Beneath it lies soft wood (卯). It is as if a jewel had been set on green moss, so this is a structure in which sharp senses and a soft sensitivity live together in one person. The pillar of your birth hour is Gap-o (甲午). Midday fire (午) burns on top of a great tree (甲), so this is the place where heat and activity can rise in the second half of life.

Drawn as a single scene, it looks like this. A single jewel set on an earthen hill in late autumn, surrounded by dense green branches, in a workshop with lamps lit here and there. The jewel shines, but because there is so much wood and fire around it, it needs a solid base so that it does not melt away.

This chart also holds auspicious stars. The Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) shows a tendency for someone to appear in the second half of life who will reach out a hand in times of crisis. Heaven Virtue Harmony (天德合) and Moon Virtue Harmony (月德合) are stars that act like a protective shield, cushioning you even when trouble comes. On the other hand, the Sharp Blade (羊刃) and Yin Mismatch (陰錯殺) are signs that emotions may tilt sharply to one side or that relationships may fall out of step. I will come back to this later.

Luck Pillars (大運) and the Flow of the Five Elements (五行)

The distribution of the five elements is three wood (木), two fire (火), two metal (金), one earth (土) and no water (水). The strongest energy is wood, and the emptiest is water. The Day Master, Sin metal (辛金), receives help from Sul earth (戌土) in the month branch and from Gyeong metal (庚金). Even so, with so much wood and fire beside it, it reads as weak or close to balanced. It is a structure in which the metal spends a great deal of strength handling wood and being tempered by fire.

The Useful God (用神) is earth. Earth is the mother energy that gives birth to metal and raises it. A jewel in the flames needs solid ground that cools the heat and holds it up. Even when work, responsibility and relationships rush in all at once, you do not lose your center if earth energy is present. In real life, learning, qualifications, a stable home and a trustworthy teacher or mentor correspond to earth. The absence of water can be read as meaning that the outlet for releasing your own thoughts may be narrow. That is why habits that let emotions flow outward, such as writing, conversation or exercise, help.

The Luck Pillars (大運) begin with Sin-hae (辛亥) and run forward. The water luck of Sin-hae and Im-ja (壬子) in childhood fills the water that was empty, and with Gye-chuk (癸丑) earth comes in. The Gap-in (甲寅) Luck Pillar you are probably passing through now is a period when wood grows thicker still and In-O-Sul (寅午戌) gathers fire energy. The pressure of work and responsibility tends to grow, so rest and boundaries matter. The Eul-myo (乙卯) that follows is also centered on wood, so a similar grain continues.

After that, the atmosphere changes. In the Byeong-jin (丙辰) Luck Pillar the roots of earth take hold, and in Jeong-sa (丁巳) the metal inside Sa (巳) lends its strength. In Mu-o (戊午) and Gi-mi (己未) the Useful God, earth, comes to the fore. There is a tendency for body and mind to grow more at ease toward the second half of life. This year, 2026, Byeong-o (丙午), is the middle year of the Three Disasters (三災). After 2027 passes, help from earth and metal comes in with Mu-sin (戊申) in 2028 and Gi-yu (己酉) in 2029, so it is a good period to use for maintenance and preparation rather than for overreaching expansion.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (1): The Person You Are

The Day Pillar (日柱) is Sin-myo (辛卯). It is the shape of yin wood seated beneath yin metal, so in a word it reads as a person with the fingertips of a jewel cutter. Sin metal (辛金) is not raw ore but metal that has already been ground and polished. So your sense of grace, beauty and precision tends to have been unusual from an early age. You like clean lines, a tidy way of speaking and a finish without flaws, and you are uncomfortable with letting things slide.

The day branch, Myo wood (卯木), is your spouse palace and also the root of the Wealth star (財星), which symbolizes a sense of reality. Because it is a structure in which metal handles wood, you have the ability to organize the work in front of you and give it form. But this wood is a tender, delicate stem. Even if you look neat and firm on the outside, inside there is a soft part that is easily hurt. To put it in an image, it is like a pair of silver scissors resting on a mossy stone. The blade is sharp, but the place it rests is damp and sensitive.

There is no need to fear that the day branch falls on Severance (絶). Severance is not an end but the state of a seed. There is an energy of being cut off once and then starting again, so at each major turning point in life you can find the courage to change direction13. Rather than clinging to a single path, redrawing the whole board actually suits you.

Yin Mismatch (陰錯殺) is a star that rests on the Day Pillar. Your heart and your expression can fall out of step, so there may be moments when your true feelings are warm but your words come out cold. The habit of pausing for one breath before saying something important, and putting one warm sentence first, helps a great deal.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (2): The Grain of Daily Life

Your day tends to flow on top of a neat order. Sin metal is most at ease in an orderly environment. Your mind relaxes in a space where the things on the desk are in their place, the scent and lighting are just right, and the sound is not excessive. Your tastes are also clear. You are the kind who chooses something with good texture over something flashy, and one thing to use for a long time over many things.

Your pace is neither fast nor slow; you tend to move by being 'exactly in time.' Before you start something you need to be prepared, and once prepared you carry it out without wavering. Conversely, when plans change without warning or someone messes up what you have put in order, your body feels the fatigue first. Your nerves stand on end as if the Myo wood under the Day Pillar were shaking, and even small noises or clutter drain your energy.

Because there is no water among your five elements, the moisture of daily life, that is, chatting, unhurried rest and time to release emotions, easily runs short. If there are days when your mind is busy but your body feels dry and stiff, that is the signal. Fill in a little moisture every day, by drinking warm tea slowly, by caring for your body so it stays well moisturized after a shower, or by walking near water.

The best way to relieve fatigue is orderly time alone. Because this chart has much fire energy, heat rises inside you when appointments with people pile up. It is better to leave one day a week empty, with no plans. As for food, mild, soft seasonal food suits your body better than stimulating food. Think of a bowl of warm broth on a dry autumn evening as a cloth that brings out the luster of a jewel.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (3): Action Under Pressure

When pressure comes, you are the type who first quietly surveys the situation. Sin metal is an energy with the precision of a blade, so rather than putting emotions first, you grasp the structure and weigh where and how things need fixing. Because the chart has much fire (火), you often feel outside pressure, but you also have the strength to harden, like metal heated in fire. You tend to become someone who looks calmer in a crisis.

When making decisions, you go through a step of gathering grounds and checking once more. The Sharp Blade (羊刃) in the month branch is an energy that becomes resolute, as if honed, once the mind is made up, and this resoluteness sometimes reaches the other person as coldness. When conflict arises, you are the type to draw a line and step back rather than fight for long. But inside, the things left unsaid pile up, and one day what has piled up can appear all at once as a break. Severance (絶) in the day branch strengthens this 'power to cut off.'

Your eye for reading people is sharp. You tend to sense true feelings from a mismatched expression or the temperature of someone's tone rather than from the content of their words. But if that sharpness hardens into a critical eye, people drift away. When a difficult conversation is needed, put one point of recognition in front of each point of criticism. The other person lowers their defenses, and your sharp judgment becomes a welcome tool.

When pressure grows, the best prescription is to lean on earth energy, that is, on trustworthy people or orderly procedures. Do not carry everything alone; try putting the situation into words with a senior, teacher or family member you trust. The moment you speak it aloud, a small waterway opens in a chart that has no water. If you make your decision the next morning, after lying down to sleep once, the edge of your resoluteness becomes much rounder.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (4): Innate Temperament

Looking at your innate foundation before it was shaped by experience, you have a delicate temperament with an upright pride. Yin metal does not have the strength to break things by striking them, as yang metal does; it has the strength to seep in and bore in precisely. It is very likely that from childhood, even without saying much, your powers of observation were deep and your own standards took hold early.

The fire of the birth year and hour (丁, 午) is the temperature at which emotions show on the surface. Even if you seem quiet, inside your emotions rise and fall hotly, and you tend to remember for a long time when your pride is hurt. Also, because wood (甲, 卯, 卯) is layered throughout the chart, you are sensitive to visible achievements and practical results. There is a side of you that feels secure only when there is a form that others recognize.

Cap & Sash (冠帶) in the month branch tells us that in your younger years your desire to present yourself neatly and step out into the world was strong. Neat appearance and courtesy tend to be ingrained in you, and you are quite conscious of how you look. So praise gives you great strength, and when you are rated low, you chew it over inwardly for a long time even if you do not show it.

The great weakness of your innate grain is the pressure toward perfection. A jewel easily believes it loses value with even one flaw, so you are strict with yourself. But a person's worth comes not from a flawless surface but from the way one shines while carrying flaws. Practicing telling yourself 'this is good enough, I did well' is what helps this temperament grow most healthily. Gentle self-talk, like a stream that waters a young stem, makes your foundation firmer.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (5): The Inner World

Looking at the weather beneath the surface, your inner world is closer to a landscape where clear days and dry winds alternate. On the outside you are calm and neat, but inside many thoughts come and go. Because the chart has no water, the channel for letting emotions flow out is narrow, and the stories in your heart circle inside for that much longer. There are days when worries and expectations pile up like heat trapped in dry ground.

The recurring tension reads in two broad ways. One is the tug-of-war between the sense of responsibility that says 'I have to do this well' and the heart that wants to rest. Because fire (丁, 午) presses down on the metal, the standard you demand of yourself is high. The other is the question of distance with people close to you. Yin Mismatch and Severance (絶) in the day branch create a habit of wanting to open your heart yet withdrawing first before you get hurt. You may feel lonely and still be clumsy at asking for help.

That does not mean your inner world is only dark. Moon Virtue Harmony (月德合) and Heaven Virtue Harmony (天德合) are stars that tell us there is a good center deep in your heart that protects you even in hard times. A warmth and loyalty you do not show on the outside are alive within.

The best way to care for your inner world is to set your heart down in words or writing. Try writing about five minutes each night in a diary about the feelings of the day. Do not try to find the right answer; simply writing 'this is how I feel now' is enough. Music, baths and walks by the water also soothe the empty water energy. When the dust in your heart settles, the jewel shines clear on its own.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (6): How You Connect with People

Your way of meeting people is to choose deeply rather than befriend widely. Sin metal values dignity and trust, so it does not open its heart wide from the start. You are polite but keep your distance and observe, and only after judging someone trustworthy do you slowly grow close. To those you have opened your heart to, you tend to stay loyal.

The people drawn to you are mostly people attracted to a feeling of order and reliability. Because the chart has much wood, you may often become entangled with realistic, active people, and because it has much fire, with passionate people who have a strong presence. Such people give you stimulation and vitality, but when they are close you tire easily. Relationships that stay comfortable for a long time are made with earth energy, that is, with people who are stable and whose words match their actions. Because the day branch in the spouse position is Severance (絶), you may go through a break and a restart in a relationship at least once. Instead, if you respect each other's pace, it actually deepens.

Your way of keeping distance is a gentle exit. Even when uncomfortable, you do not get very angry; you draw the line by cutting back contact or saving your words. This looks peaceful, but the other person may feel suddenly pushed away without knowing why. When something has hurt you, one short sentence saying 'this is what was hard for me' saves the relationship.

Since there is a Heavenly Noble in the second half of life, it is very likely that a connection made late will become a lasting strength. Do not try to make friends hastily; build trust slowly. In particular, you tend to gain good fruit from connections with elders such as teachers or seniors.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (7): Work and Ambition

Your attitude toward work is that of an artisan who refines and completes precisely. Because the chart has many Wealth stars (wood) and Officer stars (fire), you have both the ability to produce results in front of you and the strength to take on responsibility within an organization. You shine especially in work with clear standards, such as numbers, quality and schedules. Your grain suits professional work, planning and management, design, finance, work dealing with law and regulation, and delicate fields such as appraisal and assaying7.

The force that gets you started is the desire to be recognized and a sense of responsibility. With the energy of Cap & Sash (冠帶) in the month branch, your motivation rises when there is outside evaluation and a stage. The force that carries you to the end is your standard of completion. Because you are not satisfied unless the finish is clean, the quality of your results tends to be high. On the other hand, if this standard gets too high, you may put off starting altogether or cling to small flaws for a long time.

What to watch out for is the amount of pressure. In a chart with much fire and wood, the more work you take on, the more work tends to follow, so if you do not refuse, it leads to overwork. Especially in the Gap-in Luck Pillar, the fire of In-O-Sul gathers, so as responsibility grows, burnout can also come easily. Set the scope of your work, delegate what can be delegated, and set a rule of resting completely one day a week.

Since the Useful God is earth, learning and qualifications and a trustworthy patron support your ambition. New study or building up qualifications is the safest investment for the near future. In 2028, Mu-sin (戊申), and 2029, Gi-yu (己酉), help from earth and metal comes in, so it would be good to see this year and next as a period of laying the groundwork for that time.

Reading the Day Master (日干) (8): Strengths and What to Watch

First, three strengths. The first is a precise sense and grace. Thanks to the jewel-like energy of Sin metal, you have an eye that recognizes details and raises quality, so the work you touch comes out one step more refined. The second is composure in a crisis. Like metal tempered in fire, you have the strength to see the structure and keep your center even when pressure comes. The third is the blessing of benefactors. The Heavenly Noble sits in the second half of life, and Heaven Virtue Harmony and Moon Virtue Harmony add a protective shield, so it is very likely that unexpected help will appear in difficult times. But the way opens only when the one asking for help knocks on the door first.

Next, two things to watch. The first is sharp expression. The Sharp Blade and Yin Mismatch create a tendency for resoluteness, when it goes too far, to come across as cold, unlike what you mean. Before an important conversation, pause for one breath and put one word of recognition before criticism. The second is the habit of storing things up. Because the chart has no water, emotions can dry up and pile up inside and then appear all at once as a break. It is good to speak of discomfort while it is small, and to keep channels such as a diary or walks steadily open.

One more thing to add: because the hour pillar of the second half of life is Void (空亡), things in later life tend to become richer when you leave space and accept them flexibly, rather than when they fall exactly into place according to plan. Do not design your old age too tightly; leave some room. A jewel gains its value not from its luster but from where it is placed and how it is used.

Balance of Cold, Warmth, Dryness and Moisture (寒暖燥濕)

This chart leans toward warmth and dryness. Because the birth month is late autumn (the 戌 month), there is the coolness of the season, but within the chart there is the sun (丁) and midday fire (午), and the wood keeps feeding this fire like firewood. On top of that there is no water at all, so nothing cools the heat or moistens it. So I read heat and dryness (燥) as coming ahead of cold. It is a structure in which a small spark on dry ground can easily spread.

In body and mind, such tendencies may appear. The skin, throat and eyes dry out easily, and there are days when heat rises, sleep grows shallow or the mind grows impatient. When thoughts overheat, they can spread into irritation or touchiness. Conversely, when moisture and ease are filled in, the same person becomes much softer and judgment grows clearer.

The habit to practice is 'filling in water energy'. Winter and rainy days among the seasons, and places near water or rooms with suitable humidity among environments, help. In dry seasons, I recommend turning on a humidifier and taking a warm shower before bed. For food, moist and mild things such as pear, bellflower root, tofu, seaweed and warm broth suit you better than stimulating spicy flavors, fried food and alcohol. Make a time, even briefly during the day, to quietly drink water and catch your breath.

Also, earth, the Useful God, is the energy that gathers in fire and raises metal. Picture not earth that is too dry and hot, but earth that is moist and firm. An orderly home, regular meals and conversation with a trustworthy person all play the role of this earth. When a daily life that manages heat builds up, your jewel keeps its clear luster for a long time without being scorched by the fire.

Ten Gods (十星)

The Ten Gods (十星) in Your Chart

Your Day Master (日干) is Sin metal (辛金). It is metal like a jewel cut from ore and polished, or like a thin, sharp needle. Looking at the stars surrounding this metal, there is a clear split between the loud voices and the quiet ones.

The loudest are the Wealth stars (財星). The Myo wood (卯) in both the day branch and the year branch is Indirect Wealth (偏財), and the Gap wood (甲) in the hour stem (時干) is Direct Wealth (正財). On top of this, Seven Killings (偏官, 七殺) is laid down in three layers: Jeong fire (丁) in the year stem, O fire (午) in the hour branch, and the Jeong fire hidden inside Sul earth (戌). It is a composition in which the fire that melts metal and the wood that metal must cut stand on every side. It is a setting where the work is plentiful, the responsibility is heavy and the expectations are high. The Gyeong metal (庚) in the month stem is Rob Wealth (劫財). It is like a colleague who stands beside you when things are hard, but at times it also becomes a rival competing for the same share.

The quiet ones are the Eating God (食神) and Hurting Officer (傷官). Because there is no water (水), they are empty altogether. This means there is no waterway to let emotions and talent flow out gently. The Resource stars (印星), too, amount to only a single Direct Resource (正印) inside the Sul earth in the month branch, so they are at the level of a small whisper. The Friend (比肩) is only the Sin metal hidden inside Sul earth.

This combination shapes you into "a person who gets things done." Your sense of reality is good, and you read the work and people in front of you accurately. In exchange, your spring for recharging is thin, so it is easy to miss the moment when you should rest. It resembles fire spreading over dry ground.

The Useful God (用神) is earth (土). The earth that takes in the heat of the fire, cools it and lends strength to the metal is your tonic. Warm meals, regular sleep, a trustworthy teacher or senior, and study are all earth energy. I recommend the habit of first firming up the foundation of body and mind before taking on more work.

How You Meet the World

A person with large Seven Killings and wide Wealth stars naturally becomes "the one who handles the practical work" in a gathering. Your presence comes alive not in places where you simply lift the mood but in places where someone has to decide and get things done. It is very likely that you notice the gaps in a situation first, and that your hands move before your words.

With as many as three Wealth stars, you also have a good sense for connecting people and resources. You read relatively quickly who suits which job and where money and time are leaking. So you shine on stages that coordinate reality, such as project management, planning, operations, sales, mediation and quality control. The energy of Seven Killings gives you the strength to grow calmer in a crisis. The role of organizing things by saying "Let's do this first" when everyone is flustered suits you well.

But because the Eating God and Hurting Officer are empty, you may be clumsy at lightly setting down what is in your heart. If you keep swallowing what you want to say and take on responsibility first, fatigue piles up inside even while you look firm on the outside. People around you may think of you as "someone who handles things well on their own" and offer less help.

The prescription is simple. First, when you need help, ask specifically. "Could you take care of just this part?" comes across far better than "It's a bit hard." Second, settle on one quiet outlet, such as a diary, writing or walks. Activities that resemble water (水), that is, writing, music, a warm bath or a walk by the water, suit a chart without water. Third, because Seven Killings is strong, building trust through skill goes much farther than standing up against authoritarian bosses or rules18.

Family Relationships

In a woman's chart, Indirect Wealth means the father, Direct Resource the mother, the Friend and Rob Wealth siblings, the Eating God and Hurting Officer children, and the Officer stars (官星) the spouse. Read through this frame, your family map looks like this.

Indirect Wealth, the father's position, sits twice, in the year branch and the day branch. It is very likely that your father, or a father-like figure, had a strong presence and that you were much influenced by his ability to make a living or his attitude toward work. Being in the day branch also means that this influence continues in your heart even now. But since it is hard work for Sin metal to handle wood (木), the relationship may have been close yet at times burdensome.

Direct Resource, the mother's position, is single, in the Sul earth of the month branch. Your mother is someone who stays by your side like solid earth, but because that earth is ground that dries easily in the heat of fire, her way may have been to look after you practically rather than to embrace you with emotional abundance.

Siblings appear as the single Rob Wealth in the month stem. Even if not many, there tends to be at least one who stands beside you with a strong presence. You are close, but matters over money or roles may come up, so put any financial dealings in writing.

The Officer stars in the spouse position center on Seven Killings. Because there is no Direct Officer (正官), the bond tends to be pictured not as soft and smooth but as a person with a strong presence who at times puts pressure on you. In 2026, the year of Byeong-o (丙午), a Direct Officer rises in the heavenly stem, so the grain of a relationship may be sorted out once. The Output stars, the children's position, are empty, so with children it suits you to build the relationship by spending time together rather than through words.

Why People Are Drawn to You

People usually gather around "someone they can trust and rely on." Your charm comes from that sense of trust. With plentiful Wealth stars you have an eye for reality, and with Seven Killings you do not avoid responsibility, so even if you seem quiet at first, as time passes you make people think, "This person will do."

The grain of Sin metal also plays its part. Sin metal is not rough iron but metal like a cut jewel. Because you are neat, delicate and have clear standards, you give the impression that, even if not dazzling at a glance, your grain is fine when seen up close. That precision shows in your way of speaking, your clothes and the finish of your work.

The image of faithfully managing the small things of daily life, with Direct Wealth in the hour stem, also gives a sense of stability. People can lean comfortably on someone who keeps promises and is clear in accounts. With auspicious stars such as Heaven Virtue Harmony (天德合) and Moon Virtue Harmony (月德合), there is also a tendency for unexpected help or cushioning to follow in difficult moments. If you remember standing in the middle when someone's conflict was resolved, that may be the working of these stars.

But because the Eating God and Hurting Officer are empty, you may rarely be the one to approach warmly first. This means many people may be drawn to you, yet few may become close. At such times, make one sentence that lightly expresses your feelings into a habit. Words like "Thanks to you it was easy" or "Those words meant a lot to me." When warmth is added to your firm impression, people stay by your side much longer.

Childhood (Year Pillar): A Reading Through the Ten Gods

The year pillar is Jeong-myo (丁卯). The heavenly stem is Seven Killings and the earthly branch is Indirect Wealth. It is very likely that the environment of your childhood was one that taught "reality and responsibility" relatively early. The rules may have been clear or the expectations high, or it may have been a household where talk of chores and making a living passed back and forth naturally.

Seven Killings (偏官) is also called 七殺. When this star rises in the heavenly stem at a young age, the child tends to read adults' moods early and to keep themselves in check. You may have been closer to being careful not to be scolded than to striving to be praised. The tension ingrained at that time may be the root of the "I have to do well" pressure that still rises now and then.

Indirect Wealth in the year branch shows the influence of the father, or of an elder who symbolizes money and work. The father's role at home or economic problems may have loomed large in the child's eyes, and so your sense of reality may have grown early.

The Twelve Life Stage of the year pillar is Severance (絶). It is the place where things are cut off once and start again. In childhood you may have gone through a break such as a move, a change of environment or distance from family, or conversely you may have had the feeling of having to open your own way early. Severance is not so much a bad score as "the place where a new seed grows again from the beginning."

The way to handle the wounds of this period is for the you of today to tell the you of childhood that it is all right to rest. The habit of consciously reminding yourself that you deserve to be loved even if you are not perfect loosens the tension of this year pillar.

Youth (Month Pillar): A Reading Through the Ten Gods

The month pillar is Gyeong-sul (庚戌). The heavenly stem is Rob Wealth and the earthly branch is Direct Resource. The month pillar shows the period of going out into society to learn and begin work, and your youth is a picture of "growing up learning together with colleagues and at times competing."

Rob Wealth in the month stem is a sibling-like presence of the same metal energy. It is very likely that at school or work you stayed close to peers with similar goals and spurred each other on. You may gain dependable colleagues, but you may also be compared over the same position or be bothered about shares during collaboration. With this star, it is common for a good friend and a rival to overlap in one person.

Direct Resource in the month branch means learning, qualifications and the protection of elders. Sul earth is dry ground, but it is also earth that raises metal. Study, certificates and trustworthy seniors or teachers may have been great assets in this period24. Since the Useful God is earth, this Direct Resource is truly the core support of your chart.

The Twelve Life Stage of the month pillar is Cap & Sash (冠帶). It is the stage of putting on proper clothes and taking the first step into society. There is a desire to show yourself to the world, and it was likely a period when you were easily recognized for a neat image.

Because Sin metal, Jeong fire and Mu earth are contained together inside Sul earth, your inner heart also tends to be complex. The wish to be recognized and the wish to be independent may clash. When choosing a career, an environment where you build expertise and your share is clear suits you better than one with intense comparison and competition. With close colleagues, draw a clear line between work and personal relationships from the start.

Middle Age (Day Pillar): A Reading Through the Ten Gods

The day pillar is Sin-myo (辛卯). It is a composition in which Indirect Wealth sits beneath the Day Master, Sin metal. The center of your identity rests on "the hand that handles reality." Rather than a person who only thinks, you are a person who weighs how to move the resources and people in front of you.

The day branch is also the spouse palace. With Indirect Wealth in that place, you tend to place importance on practical ability and the capacity to make a living when looking at a spouse or partner. At the same time, even in romance or marriage, the feeling that "I have to manage and take responsibility" may quietly rise. You need to consciously create a balance of giving and receiving care.

The Twelve Life Stage of the day branch is Severance (絶). It can show up as a feeling of standing alone in a deep place, or as a life pattern of starting again after several turning points. Because things are cut off once and then reconnected, you actually gain the flexibility to adapt anew each time the environment changes. Severance is both a crisis and a chance for a fresh start.

Looking at the Luck Pillars, wood (木) comes in one after another, with Gap-in (甲寅) from age 31 and Eul-myo (乙卯) from age 41. It is a period when the Wealth stars gain more strength, so work and money may increase while responsibility and fatigue grow as well. Byeong-jin (丙辰) from age 51 is luck in which fire and earth come together, and it is likely to be an occasion for the flow to turn toward earth cooling the fire and supporting the metal.

The year 2026, Byeong-o, is a year when a Direct Officer rises in the heavenly stem. You are likely to be asked for an orderly framework in relationships or positions, so rather than lightly adding schedules and promises, it is better to concentrate your strength on the one or two most important things.

Later Life (Hour Pillar): A Reading Through the Ten Gods

The hour pillar is Gap-o (甲午). The heavenly stem is Direct Wealth and the earthly branch is Seven Killings. The hour pillar is the place that shows children, students and what I leave to the world. Your second half of life takes the shape of "leaving behind, in a stable way, the results cultivated by hand."

Direct Wealth in the hour stem symbolizes assets steadily gathered and a foundation faithfully built. In later life, the tendency to be economically planned and to seek stability may grow stronger. Meanwhile, Seven Killings in the hour branch tells you that responsibility and tension may continue into old age. You may be unable to let go of work even when you should rest, so you need to practice consciously reducing the total amount of work.

O fire in the hour branch falls on Void (空亡). It can appear as a feeling that the bond with children or juniors is not as full as hoped, or in the form of physical distance or a time difference. Void does not mean absence; it means that because the place is empty, the way of filling it changes. A path is open to find fulfillment in chosen relationships such as students, juniors and mentees rather than being bound by blood ties.

The Twelve Life Stage of the hour pillar is Sickness (病). It is a signal that you must use your body and energy sparingly. Since the chart has much fire and no water, the habit of checking areas such as the eyes, heart, blood pressure and accumulated fatigue from early on becomes a great asset. Regular checkups, enough water and regular sleep determine the quality of later life.

Fortunately, the Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) sits in later life. There is a tendency for people who help in difficult times to appear, so do not spare the trust you build in ordinary times. The most valuable legacy you will hand down is likely to be not property but your attitude toward work and a reputation as a person who can be trusted.

Symbolic stars (神煞)

The Full Map of Symbolic Stars (神煞) in Your Chart

This chart holds three auspicious stars (吉神) and three inauspicious stars (凶神) together. On the auspicious side are the Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人), Heaven Virtue Harmony (天德合) and Moon Virtue Harmony (月德合). Heaven Virtue Harmony and Moon Virtue Harmony are both stars formed by the Day Master (日干) Sin metal (辛金) interlocking directly. So this protective shield is closer to a safety device attached to your own body than to luck that comes from outside. Even when a crisis comes, a way tends to open once in front of a great disaster, and it is also common for unexpected help to reach you when you are in trouble.

On the inauspicious side are the Sharp Blade (羊刃), Void (空亡) and Yin Mismatch (陰錯殺). The Sharp Blade is a star like a well-honed blade. It becomes decisiveness and competitive spirit, but when your mind is in a hurry, words can fly out first. Yin Mismatch is a star where heart and expression easily fall one beat out of step. Words said out of goodwill sound cold, or you look calm on the outside while burning hot inside. Void is an empty seat. In this chart the Void falls on O (午) and Mi (未), and only the single O (午) in the late-life position is affected.

Void does not only weaken inauspicious stars. Whatever star sits in that seat, auspicious or inauspicious, it takes away some of its power. That the inauspicious energy drains away is a comfort, but it is a pity that the late-life Noble is affected in the same way. So rather than only waiting for a Noble, it is safer to make your own way.

Among the Twelve Symbolic Stars (十二神煞), General Star (將星), Heaven Calamity (天殺), General Star (將星) and Six Harms (六害) follow one another. Because the General Star appears twice, you have the power to hold the center and lead, and also the stubbornness not to back down once you have decided.

The prescription is simple. On days when emotions rise, make a habit of putting off important words and decisions by one night. Use the blade of the Sharp Blade on work, and it is better not to use it on people. Then these stars remain as firmness rather than sharpness.

Stars of the Early Years (初年): What the Year Pillar (年柱) Says About Childhood

The year pillar is Jeong-myo (丁卯), and the Twelve Life Stage (十二運星) at this seat is Severance (絶). It is a seat where the flow is cut once and begins anew. Among the Twelve Symbolic Stars, the General Star (將星) sits here. No Noble (貴人) is seen separately in this seat.

This combination pictures childhood like this. You may not have been a child who took the solid support of family or surroundings for granted. Rather than walking where someone had paved the road, there were likely many moments when you had to judge for yourself and endure from early on1. Severance (絶) is closer to meaning that there is little to lean on than to bad luck. Instead, the energy of the General Star fills that gap. You may have been a child who often heard that you were mature for your age, or who quietly took the center among peers. It resembles a young stem that meets the wind and rain first and puts down roots early.

There is a shadow too. When only the General Star is strong in a seat without a Noble, the habit of not asking for help even when things are hard easily sets in. If you have memories of swallowing things inside and trying to solve them alone, they will be connected to this structure.

What to do now is to review the ways of that time. The strength to endure alone has already been fully proven. Now, practicing saying "please help me" when you need it becomes a greater asset. Simply making a habit of confiding your difficulties to one or two trustworthy people will gradually fill the empty space of the early years. The seat of Severance (絶) is a place where things were cut off, and also a place where you can begin anew.

Stars of Youth: The Month Pillar (月柱) and the 20s to Mid-30s

The month pillar is Gyeong-sul (庚戌). Its Twelve Life Stage is Cap & Sash (冠帶), the seat where one steps into society wearing a cap and tying a sash. It is the liveliest place in this chart. Among the Twelve Symbolic Stars there is Heaven Calamity (天殺), and as noted earlier, the Sharp Blade (羊刃) also sits in this month branch Sul (戌).

The energy of Cap & Sash means that in youth the desire to show your existence to the world is strong. The energy to build visible achievements such as qualifications, titles and reputation is great. Because the Sharp Blade sits in the same seat, that energy is straight and clear like a blade. It is favorable for being recognized for ability, but there may also be days when you clash head-on with superiors or colleagues. Heaven Calamity is a star like a test thrown by heaven. Unexpected variables, or changes in your environment that have nothing to do with your will, tend to come once in a while during this period.

No Noble is seen separately in the month pillar. In this period it suits you better to build a record with your own strength than to wait for someone to lead you. Still, since Heaven Virtue Harmony and Moon Virtue Harmony interlock with the Day Master at the month pillar, it is a structure with a buffer that helps you avoid a great setback at a truly difficult moment.

There are two prescriptions. First, when you give a sharp opinion, state the grounds before the conclusion. The sharpness of the Sharp Blade turns into persuasiveness. Second, when a sudden change comes, rather than reacting immediately, wait and watch for about three days. The test of Heaven Calamity works more strongly on people who hurry. In seasons when the autumn metal (金) energy is strong, it is especially good to put your words and schedule in order one more time.

Stars of Middle Age: The Day Pillar (日柱) and the Center of Relationships, Body and Work

The day pillar is Sin-myo (辛卯), and the Twelve Life Stage is again Severance (絶). Here the Yin Mismatch (陰錯殺) and the General Star (將星) are together. The day branch is both the spouse palace and the center of the body, so the stars in this seat affect relationships, health and the way you work alike.

Sin metal (辛金) is a delicate energy like a well-cut gem, but the Myo (卯) it stands on is soft wood, ground where metal has difficulty taking root. The seat of Severance shows this. It takes time to find stability in close relationships, you are careful about letting your guard down, and moments when expectation and reality diverge are easy to go through. Yin Mismatch adds a grain of misalignment to this. Being hurt because the expression differs even though the feelings are the same can repeat. Meanwhile the General Star supports the independence and sense of responsibility of middle age, so at work you tend to become a trusted center.

In terms of the body, it is necessary to watch for easily breaking down when nerves become sensitive or fatigue builds up. It is also a structure in which the body's moisture and resilience easily dry out, since there is no water (水) at all in the chart.

The prescription is concrete. With people close to you, do not leave them to guess; say your expectations in sentences. "They'll understand" is the gap Yin Mismatch likes best. Since the Useful God (用神) is earth (土), habits that firmly support daily life, such as regular meals and sleep and walks treading on soil, are a great help. As for people, those who are steady even if slow of speech, and those who quietly stay by your side, suit this chart well.

Stars of Late Life: The Hour Pillar (時柱) and What You Leave Behind

The hour pillar is Gap-o (甲午). The Twelve Life Stage is Sickness (病), and among the Twelve Symbolic Stars there is Six Harms (六害). The Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) is in this seat, but at the same time a Void (空亡) hangs over it. In reading the stars of late life, this point is the most important.

A Noble originally means a person or opportunity that will hold out a hand when things are hard. But because of the Void, that power is empty by one layer. It does not mean there is no Noble. It is closer to meaning that it is not a way in which it comes by itself if you wait, but a way in which it opens when you knock on the door first. Sickness (病) speaks of a period when strength is dampened by a notch, so it is good to read it as the way of pushing through with stamina gradually changing to a way of working with wisdom. Six Harms is a star where small misunderstandings and minor friction easily accumulate, so it is a signal not to store up small hurt feelings with people close to you.

An interesting point is the structure in which the Gap wood (甲木) of the hour pillar passes through Jeong fire (丁火) and leads into the fire of O (午). The emptier the seat, the clearer what to fill it with becomes. In late life, the sense of reward tends to come alive in things passed on to people, such as teaching, records and hobbies, rather than in wealth or status23.

The prescription is this. Rather than widening your connections all at once from a young age, choose a few people who will last and keep exchanging greetings steadily. Those relationships later play the role of the Noble. As for the body, keeping the seat of Sickness (病) in mind, it is good to make regular checkups and light exercise a habit from your forties on. The stars of late life, like a lamp on a cloudy day, stay bright for a long time for those who trimmed the wick in advance.

Your Overall Fortune in Study

In your chart, learning is not a wide-open highway. It is closer to treading a footpath one step at a time, and what you walk clearly stays with you. Your Day Master (日干) is Sin metal (辛金). It is a metal like a well-polished gem or a fine needle, a temperament that shines the more precisely it is refined rather than iron that is roughly hammered. A Day Master like this has a good eye for detail and tends to handle precisely what it has once understood.

The Resource stars (印星) that form the root of learning, that is, the earth energy, are not prominent on the surface. Mu earth (戊) is only hidden inside the month branch Sul earth (戌), and Gi earth (己) inside the hour branch O fire (午). There are reinforcements, but they are buried underground out of sight. So there may have been moments when you doubted yourself, wondering "maybe I'm just not made for studying." In reality it is not that you lack the constitution for it; it is a structure that takes time to catch fire.

It is also important that the chart has three wood energies and not a single water. Wood is the Wealth star (財星), so it grows a sense of reality and practical interest, but in excess it can shake the Resource stars like roots digging up soil. It means your mind easily runs first to things of immediate use rather than to time for reading and reflectionM4. That the Useful God (用神) is earth is a welcome sign. When you study in a way that builds foundations and sets up systems, the whole chart becomes stable.

In sum, your lifelong fortune in study is not the type that runs fast at the start but the type that deepens after finding its direction. As when water is brought to dry land, when environment and timing fall into place there is a high chance a moment will come when understanding suddenly opens up. Even if you feel your pace is slow now, do not push yourself hard. The best prescription is to make a habit of first stacking one solid row of foundations.

The Grain of Learning That Suits You

The areas this chart welcomes most are fields that need precision and sensibility together. Sin metal resembles a jeweler's tool, so it is strong at telling small differences apart: the grain of language, the error in data, the proportions of a design, the breathing of a sentence. Among the humanities, disciplines that split and join concepts precisely, such as texts and language, philosophical analysis, and law and institutions, suit you. In the social sciences, research that compares cases carefully fits well.

With much wood (木) in the chart, Jeong fire (丁火) in the year stem and O fire (午) in the hour branch, the spark of expression and sensibility is also alive. As wood feeds fire, there is room for talent to bloom in creative areas such as writing, design, crafts, music and video. However, the water energy, that is, the energy of flowing intellect among the Output stars (食傷), is not seen in the chart. Unwinding your thoughts, debating and broadening ideas easily weakens unless you practice it consciously. Training yourself to take the knowledge you organized alone out loud, saying it and writing it, helps a great deal.

In science and technology, a form with experiments, practice and field application attached is better than digging only into theory8. This is because a chart with strong Wealth stars gets a big boost of motivation when it can see results it can grasp in its hands. Paths that combine qualifications and skills, such as nursing or medical assistance, accounting, design and drafting, engineering practice, and language professions, suit you.

Rather than intense competitive sports, exercise that refines breathing, posture and rhythm suits you. Precise use of the body such as yoga, Pilates, swimming, kendo and archery balances body and mind. Time spent using the body can itself become a learning tool that clears the mind.

Concentration and Endurance

To see concentration, you have to look at the Resource stars and the Officer stars (官星) together. The Resource stars are the vessel that receives learning, and the Officer stars are the discipline that holds you in line. In your chart, the Jeong fire (丁火) in the year stem and the Jeong fire inside O fire (午) in the hour branch sit as Officer stars. It means there is a power to test and spur yourself on, as fire tempers metal. So in work with a clear goal and a deadline, you can bring remarkable concentration.

The problem is when that fire gets a stable fuel. The supporting earth energy is hidden, and there is even a combination (合) tendency in which the month branch Sul earth and the day branch Myo wood (卯) meet and lean toward fire, so energy easily keeps leaning toward fire, that is, toward impatience and tension. It burns hot in short bursts but has difficulty continuing for long. Doing two or three hours at a set time every day suits you far better than cramming ten hours in a day.

Because the Twelve Life Stage sitting on the day branch Myo wood (卯) is Severance (絶), you may feel in the middle stretch that your energy cuts off and starts again. If a pattern repeats in which things go well for a while, then motivation suddenly disappears and you start again from the beginning, there is a high chance it is because of this structure. At such times, do not blame yourself for weak will; break your study units small and change them into units whose end you can see, like "one page today."

In practice, put the hardest subject first in the morning, and place light review or organizing after lunch. As a way to add earth energy, basic habits such as regular meals, a set sleep time and a tidy desk give surprisingly great strength.

Exams and Qualifications

One key to exam fortune is whether the Literary Star Noble (文昌貴人) and the Academic Hall Noble (學堂貴人) appear clearly in the chart, and in this chart neither star is confirmed. Instead, the Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) is in the hour pillar, and there are Heaven Virtue Harmony (天德合) and Moon Virtue Harmony (月德合). It is a composition in which, rather than flashes of luck in the exam hall, people or circumstances that help when things are hard appear, and there is a protective shield that lessens great faults.

However, the hour branch O fire (午) where the Heavenly Noble sits falls under Void (空亡). It means the Noble's power is empty, so it is safer to prepare yourself than to rely on luck. Also, because there are the Sharp Blade (羊刃) and Yin Mismatch (陰錯殺), there is a tendency to be on edge on exam day or for small errors and slips to come outM3. You easily waver in small places such as marking mistakes, time allocation and omissions in application documents, so make a checklist.

As for the current flow, this year, 2026, Byeong-o (丙午), is the middle year of the Three Disasters (三災), and it is a period of great pressure as the Direct Officer (正官) and Seven Killings (偏官) overlap. In terms of exams, tension rises and it is easy to rush results. This year it is better to use as a year for firming up preparation rather than throwing a big gamble. 2027, Jeong-mi (丁未), is the year the Three Disasters leave, so the pressure gradually eases, and in 2028, Mu-sin (戊申), and 2029, Gi-yu (己酉), the Direct Resource (正印) and Indirect Resource (偏印) come in and open the most favorable flow for exams and obtaining qualifications.

The practical prescription is this. Set 2028 to 2029 as the key years for your target exam, and use this year and next for close reading of the basic texts and organizing your wrong answers. Right before the exam, it is better not to add new material but to repeat the textbooks you are familiar with.

The Luck Pillars in Which Study Goes Best

The Luck Pillars (大運) flow in ten-year units from age 1: Sin-hae (辛亥), Im-ja (壬子), Gye-chuk (癸丑), Gap-in (甲寅), Eul-myo (乙卯), Byeong-jin (丙辰), Jeong-sa (丁巳), Mu-o (戊午), Gi-mi (己未). The first three periods continue the water energy. As water that was missing from the chart comes in, it is a period when expressiveness, thinking and curiosity open up. Like a stream wetting a young stem, it is a time when the sense for learning awakens, and especially in the Im-ja (壬子) period at ages 11 to 20 it is good for taking an interest in areas such as writing, debate and foreign languages.

In the Gye-chuk (癸丑) Luck Pillar at ages 21 to 30, earth comes in with water. Chuk earth (丑) is a storehouse that holds metal (金), so it is a stretch in which the Resource stars put down roots. Because it adds the earth energy the chart needs most, it is a very good period for building specialist knowledge and qualifications systematically4. The fruits of graduate school, qualification exams and acquiring specialist skills easily ripen.

The Gap-in (甲寅) and Eul-myo (乙卯) periods at ages 31 to 50 are a stretch in which the wood energy becomes even stronger. Energy is drawn toward reality, work and money, so it may become hard to sit down deeply and studyM2. Instead, practical learning connected to work, or supplementing qualifications, is efficient. In this period, rather than sitting at a desk for long stretches, the suitable way is to steadily continue small courses used directly in your work.

The Byeong-jin (丙辰) period at ages 51 to 60 is a period when the Direct Officer and earth energy come in together and your mind returns again to learning and qualifications. From age 61 on, fire and earth continue with Jeong-sa (丁巳), Mu-o (戊午) and Gi-mi (己未), and the Resource stars gain strength. It is a favorable flow for late-blooming scholarship, study after retirement, and turning a hobby into expertise.

A Way of Studying That Fits Your Chart

The way that suits you best is to dig deep alone, but have it checked by a trustworthy person now and then. Sin metal is a metal that shines only when precisely refined, so time to polish alone is essential. But since the Output stars are empty in the chart, if you do it only alone your thoughts can circle only inside. The process of explaining what you learned to others, taking questions and organizing it in writing is itself the work of filling the missing water energy.

The Heavenly Noble in the hour pillar shows the possibility of mentor-style learning. Even one good teacher, senior or coach tends to change the speed of your study greatly. However, since the seat where the Noble sits is Void, if you wait for it to come by chance it is easy to miss. An active attitude is needed: going to them first to ask questions and setting up regular meetings.

Group study is highly effective only when it is a small, select group. When there are many people, energy scatters and comparison can put you on edge. A form in which two or three people explain to one another suits you. Apprenticeship-style learning, that is, learning while working in the field, also suits you well6. Since it is a chart with strong Wealth stars, understanding lasts long when you learn by trying with your hands.

In terms of environment, it is good to bring out the earth energy. A tidy desk, a fixed place and time, and small items in light ocher or beige tones help calm the mind. You tend to concentrate well in late autumn to early winter, that is, the season when earth and water come in, so try making this your important study period.

When Study Wavers

Wavering can generally come in three strands. The first is the stretch in which wood becomes too strong. At ages 31 to 50, the Gap-in (甲寅) and Eul-myo (乙卯) Luck Pillars, work, money and relationships grow and the time to spend on study shrinks. At this time, do not conclude that "studying is over now." If you leave a small thread by continuing at the same time, even thirty minutes a day, it will connect easily when the next earth period comes in.

The second is years when fire overlaps. The present 2026, Byeong-o (丙午), and 2027, Jeong-mi (丁未), are the very middle and the tail end of the Three Disasters, and the pressure of the Officer stars grows. Exams or evaluations come as a burden, and tension in the body, insomnia and impatience easily appear. When fire grows fierce enough to melt metal, it is wisdom to step back and cool down. Do not start big new challenges; put your existing study in order, and put recovery habits such as sleep, breathing and walks first.

The third is a break in flow coming from structures like the Severance (絶) of the day branch Myo wood. You may feel that after working hard things suddenly cut off and you have to start again. At such times, set down the burden of starting over from the beginning and continue again from the point you last understood. Keeping a simple study log greatly reduces the cost of restarting.

Also, because the hour pillar is Void, you may feel the meaning of learning blurring in late life. All the more, study groups with people and experiences of teaching become a great support. Keeping people beside you rather than holding on alone is the safety device of this chart.

What Study Means in Your Life

In your story, study is not decoration but closer to a central axis. However, rather than showing up as impressive degrees or credentials, it tends to work as a tool that stabilizes life and sets you firmly on your feet. That the Useful God is earth shows this well. As when tamping the ground, the more you build up knowledge, skills and qualifications one layer at a time, the more the balance of the whole chart falls into place. What holds you in periods of wavering is likely to be ability ingrained in you rather than wealth or connections.

Also, since it is a chart without water, learning is also the work of cutting a channel where things are blocked. The more you read, write and speak and let your thoughts flow, the lighter your mind becomes and the clearer your judgment. It means that study can become not mere achievement but a habit of caring for the mind. When anxiety rises, you will experience the flow settling just by opening a book and copying out a paragraph by hand.

Because the Resource star periods grow stronger toward the latter half of life, learning is an area that becomes deeper and softer as you age. Chances come to recover study missed in younger days, and there is also a high chance that accumulated experience will meet knowledge and flow to others in the form of teaching or advice. The late-life Heavenly Noble sits in an empty seat, so open a path of becoming a Noble yourself and helping juniors or students22.

Lastly, a request. Do not measure yourself by speed. Your chart is not the chart of a person who runs fast, but of a person who goes a long way after putting down roots. The one row you build now will be the ground for great fruit after 2028.

Career

Your Talents

Your Day Master (日干) is Sin (辛) metal. It is closer to a gem that has already been cut and polished than to raw ore, so you are a person in whom precision and a high-standard sense are deeply ingrained. The Sul (戌) earth in the month branch is a Direct Resource (正印), so you have the strength to build what you learn into a system. You tend to endure long and grow deeper in areas with clear frameworks, such as exams, qualifications, documents and regulations.

Your most noticeable talent is an eye for reading value. Two Myo (卯) wood and one Gap (甲) wood are laid throughout the chart, so Indirect Wealth (偏財) and Direct Wealth (正財) are plentiful. You find it easy to sense intuitively where people, money and resources leak away and where they gather. Think of it as the eye of an appraiser who can name the true price of an item in the market at a glance.

The Jeong (丁) fire and O (午) fire are Seven Killings (偏官). Like metal that only takes shape once it is heated in fire, you are a person whose results become more refined under pressure9. The heavier the responsibility you are given, the more you tend to concentrate. The General Star (將星) appearing twice is a sign that you have the skill to take charge of a team or a field and lead it16.

However, water, that is, the Output stars (食傷), is absent from your chart. Expressing and publicizing your own thoughts in speech and writing is not something you were born with, so it is easy for your work to be good yet go unnoticed. This is a weakness and also a direction. You are not a person who leads with words but one who earns trust through accurate results12. That way builds the most lasting reputation.

Turning Talent into Results

This chart has many Wealth stars (財星), and the Day Master is on the weak or balanced side. Opportunities and work come in large amounts, but if you try to take them all on alone you tire quickly. This is also why the Useful God (用神) is earth (土). Just as earth supports metal, the study, qualifications, documents and mentors that correspond to the Resource stars (印星) build up your strength. To produce results, you must first lay a foundation of qualifications and expertise rather than taking on more work.

Since both the year branch and the day branch sit in Severance (絶), you may easily feel early on that the roots you can lean on are thin. This does not mean bad luck. It means that the record you build yourself matters more than a road someone else has paved for you. Climbing one step at a time suits you better than staking everything on a single big play. The deeper you dig into one field, the more solid you become.

The lack of water can be filled with habits. Keep a short record of each day's work, organize your results monthly and leave them as reports, and once a quarter create a chance to explain your work in front of people. The point is not to improve your speaking but to have a device that makes invisible results visible. In the periods when water enters through the Luck Pillars, this habit sticks especially well.

Partnerships matter too. The Gyeong (庚) metal in the month stem is Rob Wealth (劫財), so in joint ventures or money dealings, situations of splitting shares are likely to arise. Collaborate, but settle the roles and the terms of settlement in writing first. Considering the Sickness (病) and Void (空亡) of your later years, it is good to prepare in advance a qualification or expertise you can continue even after retirement.

Fields and Roles That Suit You

In terms of a realistic track, I recommend the qualification and professional type as first priority and the civil service and public institution type as secondM1. With Seven Killings and Direct Resource together, the structure turns pressure into learning and qualifications, and you can easily exert your strength in organizations with clear regulations.

  • Tax, accounting and audit: These are occupations such as tax accountant, certified public accountant and internal auditor. The eye of the Wealth stars, which reads flows and loopholes inside numbers, does the work.
  • Appraisal, real estate and asset management: These are certified appraiser, licensed real estate agent and asset management support work. The sense for discerning value becomes the competitive edge itself.
  • Civil service and public institutions: Tax service, audit service, and procurement and contract work suit you. The learning strength of the Resource stars fits well with a stable exam-based track.
  • Legal affairs, labor and compliance: These are judicial scrivener, certified labor attorney and corporate compliance work. They suit the grain of Sin metal, which sets standards and keeps them.
  • Financial risk and insurance underwriting: This is work that quantifies and judges risk.
  • Quality control and precision manufacturing: Sin metal is the energy of metal and precision, so it also fits well with inspection, specifications, and precious metals and precision instruments17.

Overall, you are closer to the organizational type. The safe order is to build qualifications, establish yourself as an expert within an organization, and open your own practice later. Since there are no Output stars, the startup type, where you must handle promotion and sales alone, is a heavy burden19. If you do start a business, a structure with a partner who takes on sales or external roles is better. Freelancing is possible too if it is contract-based professional services, but creator-type activity is hard to make your main work.

The People Who Help Your Career

The Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) sits in the hour pillar. This means your benefactors come late. In your younger years helping hands are hard to see, but the flow is that as your experience builds and your position rises, dependable people attach themselves to you. Benefactors in later years can also be juniors, students and the younger generation. So it often happens that a junior you cared for early on later becomes a great strength.

The temperament of the people who help you is close to the nature of earth. They are seniors or bosses who are calm and of few words, who look after rules and procedures, and who stay loyal for a long time once they trust you. For you, the real benefactor is not someone who leads you flamboyantly but someone who quietly tells you about exam information, paperwork and the pace of office politics.

By zodiac sign, with Dog bosses and colleagues, trust builds easily because Rabbit and Sul (戌) form a Six Harmony (六合). Pig and Goat people are each one axis of the Hae-Myo-Mi (亥卯未) Three Harmony, so you get along comfortably, but since the chart already has a lot of wood, you may only reassure each other and end up lacking stimulation.

The place where you meet them is the diagonal line rather than the official direct line. The decisive person tends to appear among seniors in other departments, a mentor from a former job, qualification study groups and associations, or contacts at client companies. With Heaven Virtue Harmony (天德合) and Moon Virtue Harmony (月德合), help in a crisis sometimes comes by a detour. Even if your relationship with your direct boss is not smooth, do not be discouraged, and keep sending your regards to your diagonal mentors. Small contacts, such as a line of greeting at the holidays or news of passing an exam, become the roots of your network.

The People Who Block Your Career

> The title of this section is a translation of "The people who get in the way" from the specification. The exact header is as follows.

The People Who Hold You Back

Taking the Rabbit day branch as the standard, the Rooster is the sharpest counterpart. A Myo-Yu clash (卯酉沖) overlaps with a Yu-Sul harm (酉戌害). The first impression may be neat, but once you work together your standards and perfectionism collide and your opinions often split. Negatively, it becomes a relationship where you sharpen your blades at each other, but positively you can also become each other's most accurate reviewers who catch each other's mistakes.

With the Rat, a Ja-Myo punishment (子卯刑) overlaps with a Ja-O clash (子午沖). Bosses who cross the line of courtesy between seniors and juniors, and colleagues who feel rude, are of this type. A single remark can leave hurt feelings for a long time, so it is safer to organize just the business matter and deliver it before emotions take the lead.

With the Dragon, there is a Jin-Sul clash (辰戌沖) and a Myo-Jin harm (卯辰害). You are likely to get entangled over division of duties or department transfers, and talk behind your back can put you in a difficult position. With the Goat, there is a Sul-Mi punishment (戌未刑), so it is a relationship that looks calm on the surface but where resentment builds up and bursts one day.

In fact, the biggest variable is the Sharp Blade (羊刃) inside you. When things go wrong, sharp blunt words are likely to come out. There is also the Yin Mismatch (陰錯殺), so the same words can be delivered differently, out of step. Leave important agreements in email or documents, and make rebuttals one-on-one rather than in the meeting room. Just having lunch together resolves half of the clashes. Because of the Rob Wealth in the month stem, avoid money dealings, guarantees and joint investments with colleagues as much as possible.

Timing for Promotion and Transition

The Luck Pillars (大運) flow in ten-year units, and you can read them by checking which period your current age falls in.

The early Im-ja (壬子) and Gye-chuk (癸丑) Luck Pillars are times when water enters. The Output stars are filled and the Chuk (丑) earth adds Resource, so they favor study, preparing for qualifications and building skills at your first job5. The Gap-in (甲寅) and Eul-myo (乙卯) Luck Pillars are periods when the Wealth stars open wide. Work, income and job offers increase, but since there is already a lot of wood, overreaching is forbidden. In this period, a job change that moves you to a firm position is better than growing your size.

The most stable period is the Byeong-jin (丙辰) Luck Pillar. The Byeong (丙) fire is a Direct Officer (正官) and the Jin (辰) earth is the Resource star that is the Useful God, so official titles, promotion and the stability of qualifications are likely to come all at once. If you have settled into a professional career in this period, what follows is comfortable.

Among the near years, 2028, Mu-sin (戊申), is good. Direct Resource enters and the strength of Peak (帝旺) is added, favoring exams, promotion reviews and contract confirmation. 2029, Gi-yu (己酉), is Establishment (建祿), which makes the foundation solid, but a Myo-Yu clash is involved, so it is a year in which department or job changes are likely. 2030, Gyeong-sul (庚戌), is a Myo-Sul combination, so a new start and a new title come together. Starting a business opens up as a possibility in the Gap-in and Eul-myo Luck Pillars, but a structure with a partner is safer than a solo bid.

Getting Through Hard Seasons

2026, Byeong-o (丙午), is a year in which Direct Officer and Seven Killings come in mixed. The order of the Officer stars is disturbed, and it is in the middle of the Three Disasters (三災). The O fire overlaps with the hour branch to form a self-punishment (自刑), and a Void is involved too, so pressure and instability at work are likely to grow. It is October now, so the year-end personnel season is near. 2027, Jeong-mi (丁未), also continues Seven Killings, but as the year the Three Disasters leave, the flow is one in which the pressure gradually eases.

As patterns that Korean office workers commonly experience, two can be considered. One is being passed over for promotion or an unexpected department transfer. In that case, rather than reading it as being undervalued, take it as a year to rest and organize your qualifications and record. The other is a recommended resignation during a restructuring season, or conflict over leave and reinstatement. Do not sign on impulse or quit in anger; consult an expert such as a certified labor attorney first. It is safer to postpone big decisions until after the second half of 2027, until 2028 Mu-sin opens.

There are three attitudes. First, keep records of your work. Organizing instructions and agreements in documents reduces unnecessary misunderstandings. Second, spend time on things that fill the Resource stars, such as qualifications and study. Third, since there is the energy of Sickness (病), look after your sleep, digestion and eye strain. The body must hold up for the mind to hold up.

In the long view, be careful of the period in the Eul-myo Luck Pillar when wood becomes too strong, and of the Void in your later years. It can become a time of living swept along by work, so steadily cultivate expertise you can carry on even without a title, and your connections to diagonal mentors.

10-year Luck Pillars (大運), period by period

First Luck Pillar (ages 1-10) Sin-hae (辛亥)

In the first ten years, a Friend (比肩) Sin (辛), of the same element as the Day Master (日干), enters the heavenly stem, and Hae (亥) sits in the earthly branch. Hae (亥) is the ground of water that holds the energy of the Hurting Officer (傷官). Since the natal chart already has two Myo (卯), a Hae-Myo (亥卯) half combination (半合) forms and the grain of wood grows denser. It is the period when the water the chart lacked flows in for the first time, so like a stream that soaks a young stem, curiosity and expressiveness grow easily. In the Twelve Life Stages it corresponds to Bath (沐浴), a time of keen sensitivity when one is easily colored by changes in surroundings.

The theme of this Luck Pillar is standing side by side with peers and finding your own voice. With the Friend in the heavenly stem, stubbornness and pride may show early, and the water energy of the Hurting Officer may also appear as asking adults "Why?" back. Because it overlaps with the Severance (絶) position of the year pillar, there is a possibility that in early childhood you sensitively felt the shakiness of your home environment. However, this chart is a structure firmly supported by the earth of the Sul (戌) month branch, so with a stable daily routine and one trustworthy adult nearby, you easily become solid.

What to be careful of is emotion overflowing like water, causing lost sleep or edginess. What to lean on, in contrast, is play that brings the heart outward, such as drawing, writing and speaking.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: permission that it is all right to feel, and a regular day.

Second Luck Pillar (ages 11-20) Im-ja (壬子)

Im (壬) is the water of the Hurting Officer (傷官), and Ja (子) is ground where the water of the Eating God (食神) flows. The Im (壬) in the heavenly stem meets the Jeong (丁) of the year stem to form a Jeong-Im combination into wood (丁壬合木), which pushes further toward growing the already ample wood. The Ja (子) in the earthly branch is the part more worth noticing. It forms a Ja-Myo punishment (子卯刑) with the Myo (卯) of the day branch and year branch, and a Ja-O clash (子午沖) with the O (午) of the hour branch. So a tension arises like deep water pouring over a dry fire. In the Twelve Life Stages it is Birth (長生), so it is also a time when the sprouts of learning come up.

The theme is a school period in which talent and expression burst out3. Skill with writing, skill with speaking and artistic sense shine, and since it fills the water that was usually lacking, thinking becomes flexible. On the other hand, with punishment (刑) and clash (沖) overlapping, there may be hurt feelings in friendships, rebellion against teachers or rules, and a feeling of the heart being split over one's path. The hour branch O (午) is Void (空亡), so the position of later life is empty, and this clash touches that position. So the anxiety of early days may connect to self-confidence later on.

What to be careful of is damaging relationships with sharp words. What to lean on is training that refines speech, such as a diary, music and debate.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: one breath before speaking, one more read after writing.

Third Luck Pillar (ages 21-30) Gye-chuk (癸丑)

Gye (癸) is the Eating God (食神), and Chuk (丑) is the Indirect Resource (偏印) of earth. The Gye (癸) in the heavenly stem forms a Jeong-Gye clash (丁癸沖) with the Jeong (丁) of the year stem. Water and fire collide at the root position of childhood, so a settling of feelings about family or background may come in this period. The Chuk (丑) in the earthly branch forms a Chuk-Sul punishment (丑戌刑) with the month branch Sul (戌) and is entangled with the hour branch O (午) in a Six Harm (六害). Meanwhile, Chuk (丑) is the storehouse that holds the Day Master's metal (金) and also the earth the chart has been waiting for, so it is the first gate through which the energy of the Useful God (用神) enters. In the Twelve Life Stages it is Nurture (養), a time of slowly feeding and raising.

The theme is learning a skill in the body and growing work of your own. The gentle talent of the Eating God meets the deep immersion of the Indirect Resource, so it is good for digging into a specialist field or building qualifications and degrees. However, with punishment and harm present, you tend to look quiet on the outside while chewing over worries inside, and signals may appear in the body in the digestive system and skin.

What to be careful of is the habit of suffering alone and putting off decisions. What to lean on is steadily accumulated study, and the courage to confide one line of your feelings to someone close.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: a step that is slow but unbroken.

Fourth Luck Pillar (ages 31-40) Gap-in (甲寅)

Gap (甲) is Direct Wealth (正財), and In (寅) is also wood of Direct Wealth (正財). But the way this pillar meets the natal chart is very dramatic. In (寅) meets the hour branch O (午) and month branch Sul (戌) to complete the fire of the In-O-Sul (寅午戌) Three Harmony (三合). It amounts to the fire of the Officer stars (官星), which melts the Day Master's metal, rising all at once. In the heavenly stems, Gap (甲) forms a Gap-Gyeong clash (甲庚沖) with the month stem Gyeong (庚). The same energy enters once more where the Gap (甲) of the hour stem was already colliding, so the tension doubles. In the Twelve Life Stages it is Womb (胎), the starting point where a new board is laid out10.

The theme is a period when wealth and responsibility grow at the same time. Big events such as business, promotion, marriage and child-rearing pile up, and there are many opportunities. But it is a situation where wood and fire burn together, so if the weight goes beyond what the Day Master can bear, it is likely to come as burnout and a feeling of heat, insomnia, and sensitivity in the respiratory system and skin. There is the risk, like flames on dry firewood, of burning up fast but not lasting long.

What to be careful of is work spread out as far as greed allows, guarantees and reckless expansion. What to lean on is choices that add earth and metal. Trustworthy colleagues, well-kept books, contracts and regular rest become that kind of strength.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: before earning, build the structure that will hold up.

Fifth Luck Pillar (ages 41-50) Eul-myo (乙卯)

Eul (乙) is Indirect Wealth (偏財), and Myo (卯) is also wood of Indirect Wealth (偏財). The heavenly stem Eul (乙) forms an Eul-Sin clash (乙辛沖) with the Day Master Sin (辛), making the shape of a blade of grass touching the edge of a knife. Yet the same Eul (乙) is bound with the month stem Gyeong (庚) in an Eul-Gyeong combination (乙庚合), softening the edge of the clash to some degree. In the earthly branches, one more Myo (卯) enters, making three wood and creating a hidden echo (伏吟). With the month branch Sul (戌) it draws close in a Myo-Sul combination (卯戌合), and with the hour branch O (午) it is at odds in a Myo-O break (卯午破). In the Twelve Life Stages it is Severance (絶), a turning point where old ways are cut off and new ways begin14.

The theme is a midlife reorganization in which the range of wealth widens and the board of people and work changes15. It is a time when investment, job changes, shifts in business direction and moves of residence commonly occur. Indirect Wealth is an energy of earning widely and spending widely, so what you hold in your hand may not stay long. Also, since the Day Master is easily pressed down, the body may tire first, so it is good to watch the tension in the liver and muscles, shoulders and neck.

What to be careful of is hurrying to jump on new opportunities. What to lean on is expansion grounded in expertise you have already built, and listening to the advice of people close to you.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: change, but do not pull up the roots.

Sixth Luck Pillar (ages 51-60) Byeong-jin (丙辰)

Byeong (丙) is a Direct Officer (正官), and Jin (辰) is the earth of the Direct Resource (正印). The Byeong (丙) in the heavenly stem forms a Byeong-Sin combination (丙辛合) with the Day Master Sin (辛). It is the shape of responsibility and status from outside coming to sit beside you without being forced, so social recognition comes easily. The Jin (辰) in the earthly branch is the position where the earth of the Useful God (用神) takes root. However, it forms a Jin-Sul clash (辰戌沖) with the month branch Sul (戌), and a Six Harm (六害) with Myo (卯). In the Twelve Life Stages it corresponds to Tomb (墓). It is the time of the storehouse, where what has long been built up is gathered and put away.

The theme is accumulated experience bearing fruit as position and trust20. The seat of a leader, adviser or mentor suits you21, and as the earth grows firm, the foundation of body and mind also tends to stabilize. The Jin-Sul clash shakes the month branch, that is, the position of occupation and social foundation. So there may be organizational restructuring or a change of role, but this is closer to the door of a long-closed storehouse opening. It can also be an occasion for the metal energy hidden inside Sul (戌) to come out and recover its own color.

What to be careful of is taking on excessive responsibility for the sake of appearances. What to lean on is activity that firms the earth, such as training juniors, study groups and health checkups.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: a dignity that is recognized but not bound.

Seventh Luck Pillar (ages 61-70) Jeong-sa (丁巳)

Jeong (丁) is Seven Killings (偏官), and Sa (巳) is the fire of the Direct Officer (正官). The Jeong (丁) in the heavenly stem overlaps the same energy as the Jeong (丁) of the year stem, and in the earthly branches Sa (巳) adds strength to the fire energy of O (午) and Sul (戌). The whole chart fills with fire, a structure in which the metal of the Day Master Sin (辛) is heated. With Seven Killings and Direct Officer standing together in the form of Officer and Killing mixed (官殺混雜), the things you must do and the demands coming in easily get jumbled. Sa (巳) is also entangled with Sul (戌) in a Ghost Gate (鬼門). In the Twelve Life Stages it is Death (死), a time of drawing inward at the tail end of activity.

The theme is the adjustment of a retirement period, stepping back from responsibility. Titles may change, the burden of care between children and parents may grow, and worries may multiply so that sleep becomes shallow. In the body, it is necessary to watch the lungs and bronchi, the skin and the heat of blood pressure. Like flames heating metal, if you work without rest you tend to burn out hot.

What to be careful of is losing your own time while meeting others' expectations. What to lean on is the energy of water and earth. Walks in cool places, swimming or walking by the water, regular meals and a trustworthy doctor become that kind of strength. Practicing saying no also helps.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: the ease of a person who knows how to cool down.

Eighth Luck Pillar (ages 71-80) Mu-o (戊午)

Mu (戊) is Direct Resource (正印), and O (午) is the fire of Seven Killings (偏官). The Mu (戊) in the heavenly stem is the earth of the Useful God (用神) that the chart waits for most. Protection like a mother's embrace, learning and peace of mind sit beside the Day Master. The O (午) in the earthly branch forms an O-O self-punishment (午午自刑) with the O (午) of the hour branch, collides with the Myo (卯) of the day and year branches in a Myo-O break (卯午破), and forms a half combination (半合) with Sul (戌). Meanwhile, O (午) is Void (空亡) in this chart, the empty position of later life, and as the same character enters, that empty place is filled. In the Twelve Life Stages it is Sickness (病), a time of walking one step at a time while caring for the body.

The theme is a period of being protected and tending your inner life. As the empty later years are filled with actual experience, there is a possibility that family or long-standing connections stay by your side, or that you find the center of your heart in faith, hobbies and community activities. Since this is a chart with the Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) in the hour branch, you can also hope for a precious helping hand. However, with the O-O self-punishment and the break, signs of the body weakening, especially in the heart and blood pressure, eye strain and an anxious mind, are likely to appear.

What to be careful of is the stubbornness of trying to solve everything alone. What to lean on is regular checkups, warm and soft food, and light conversations with familiar neighbors.

The attitude worth keeping in this period: the belief that receiving help is also a kind of dignity.

The Overall Flow of the Luck Pillars (大運)

The Luck Pillars of this chart set out from a clear beginning into which water flows, cross a steep ridge in the middle where wood and fire blaze up together, and then draw a curve that slowly settles as the earth thickens. The brightest time is the Byeong-jin (丙辰) Luck Pillar (ages 51-60)M5. Through the Byeong-Sin combination (丙辛合), social recognition comes gently, and the earth of Jin (辰) takes root as the Useful God (用神), making it ten years in which accumulated experience bears fruit. Even with the shaking of the Jin-Sul clash (辰戌沖), there is ample room to read it as a long-closed door opening. The time that needs the most careful attention is the Gap-in (甲寅) Luck Pillar (ages 31-40). The fire Three Harmony (三合) of In-O-Sul (寅午戌) and the Gap-Gyeong clash (甲庚沖) overlap, so the risk of exhaustion is as great as the opportunity. The Eul-myo (乙卯) Luck Pillar (ages 41-50) that follows right after is also best crossed after composing yourself once more, because of the Eul-Sin clash (乙辛沖). In the later part, wisdom in cooling the heat is the strength in Jeong-sa (丁巳), and humility in accepting help is the strength in Mu-o (戊午). After this comes the Gi-mi (己未) Luck Pillar (age 81 on), and since it is a flow in which the empty place of later life is warmly filled through the O-Mi combination (午未合), warm rest can be expected to the very end. What to always remember is that the flow is only the weather, and what clothes you put on to go out is yours to choose.

Inner life · religion · interests · self-growth

The Grain of Your Inner Life

Your Day Master (日干) is Sin (辛) metal. It is not a raw stone but a gem that has already been cut, or a metal close to a thin, sharp needle. This temperament tends to look calm on the outside but be very sensitive within. You sense a small word, a change in the air of a room, or a slight change in someone's expression earlier than others, and you also tend to chew on those signals alone for a long time.

Looking at the weather of the chart, there are three wood (木) and two fire (火). It is the shape of dry firewood and flames standing around a single piece of metal, so your mind is always bustling with things to do, expectations and a sense of responsibility. On the other hand, there is no water (水) at all. With little water to cool and wash down a heated mind, feelings cannot flow away and tend to circle inside, producing a pattern of wearing out all at once. Outwardly you say "I'm fine," but there will be days when inside you are full of heat, like a smithy on a midsummer afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Sul (戌) earth in the month branch is autumn soil, a firm floor that supports you. That your Useful God (用神) is earth (土) means the key to your sense of stability comes from things that touch the ground: home, routine, a trustworthy elder or teacher, steady study. When your mind wavers, returning to a familiar place suits you far better than seeking new stimulation.

I read the Severance (絶) in the day and year branches less as a weakness than as a sign that you have the strength to start again after something has been cut off. It means you are someone who puts down new roots by yourself even if the place you first leaned on is shaken. In that process, though, the feeling "I am alone" can settle in deeply. Deliberately secure time to be quietly alone each day, and in that time first reassure your body with warm food and a tidy space. The weather inside you will become much more even.

Faith and Spirituality

Your chart tends to resonate more with a quiet, refined spirituality than with noisy group rituals or ecstatic experiences. Sin (辛) metal is clear metal with the impurities filtered out, so your heart opens to traditions with neat forms and a clean grain. Things like the bell of a dawn Buddhist service, the candles of a silent cathedral, or a single well-ordered movement of the tea ceremony (茶道).

It is notable that Sul (戌) sits in the month branch. Sul is a character linked to the Canopy (華蓋), often connected with themes such as religion, philosophy, art and solitude. Taking the O (午) fire of the hour pillar as the reference, Sul falls in the Canopy position, so a flow in which spiritual interest deepens toward old age can also be expected. And with the Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) sitting in the hour pillar, there is a possibility of meeting, in the latter half of life, a teacher or community you can lean on, or unseen help.

However, this chart has no Output stars (食傷) and only one Resource star (印星), so both the intellectual way of arguing things out and the emotional way of immersing yourself tend to lean to one side. So be careful of two extremes: trying to understand doctrine only with your head, or, conversely, being swept along by the atmosphere. The path that suits you best is practice repeated with the body. If you repeat simple actions every day, such as bowing, copying texts by hand, chanting, or praying at a set time, a restlessly drifting mind gains the stability of earth (土).

There is no need to conclude that a particular religion is the one for you. Even if you choose a tradition, you are more comfortable building faith slowly by questioning and verifying it yourself than by submitting to authority. The caution of watching from nearby for a few years before going deep into one place is, for you, not a weakness but wisdom.

Hobbies That Suit You

You rest best somewhere between work with the hands and work with the head, that is, in fine handwork. Sin (辛) metal is a metal that is refined and cut, so you find satisfaction in activities where delicate results pile up before your eyes. Things like knitting, embroidery, throwing pottery on the wheel, leathercraft, making jewelry, calligraphy, or grinding coffee beans and brewing them by hand drip. The process of completing something stitch by stitch calms the heat of the mind.

It is also a chart with a lot of wood (木), so hobbies such as tending plants or handling soil are good too. In particular, because your Useful God is earth (土), activities like repotting herbs, keeping a vegetable patch or kneading clay go beyond a simple change of mood and replenish your energy. Time spent feeling the texture of soil with your hands is, for you, the cheapest tonic.

For physical activity, ones that use breath and balance suit you better than intense competitive sports. Pilates, yoga, slow walking, hiking and swimming are good. Swimming is especially recommended because it meets the missing water (水) energy directly. In the water you may experience the thoughts that usually circle in your head stopping for a moment.

What you should avoid are hobbies that overheat. Fire (火) and wood (木) are already plentiful, so games that stir competitiveness or stimulating content that runs late into the night feel like rest but actually drain your energy. Set your standard for rest time as "does my mind feel quieter after it is over?" One hobby to immerse yourself in alone, plus occasionally sharing the results at a small gathering, is rhythm enough.

Creative Talent

Your creativity tends to shine in refined finish rather than in grand inspiration. With the sharp sense of Sin (辛) metal and wood (木) laid down generously as Wealth stars (財星), you tend to have a good eye for visible beauty, form, color and texture. Your talent shows well in work that judges "what fits," such as visual art, crafts, design, photography and editing.

It is also worth noting that the Flower of Romance (桃花) is placed in your chart. Taking O (午) fire and Sul (戌) earth as reference, Myo (卯) wood is the Flower of Romance, and it appears twice, in the year branch and the day branch. It is read as meaning you have a charm that draws people in, a sensuous expressiveness, and a power to create an atmosphere even on a stage or screen. But this charm comes out more naturally through a medium such as a work, an image or a style than when expressed directly in words.

On the other hand, the Output stars (食傷), the channel of expression, are not seen in your chart. So even when your heart is full of things you want to say, the sentences tend to jam when you try to bring them out, or you do not want to show anything unless it is perfect. At such times it helps not to aim for a finished piece but to build a habit of recording a very small amount every day. Three lines of diary a day, one sketch, a single snippet of voice memo is enough. In periods when water (水) luck comes in, this blocked channel may open considerably.

For writing, restrained short prose, poetry and short narratives suit you better than essays that pour out emotion. In music, for playing, delicate string instruments or keyboards suit you well, and for listening, music with space in it brings comfort. Start by practising showing what you have made to only one trusted person first.

The Direction of Growth

The growth this chart wants most over a lifetime is a move from "becoming firm" to "flowing." You are already precise and responsible enough. What you lack is not ability but circulation. Having no water (水) means the channels of feeling, expression, flexibility and rest do not open by themselves, so consciously digging these channels becomes your life task.

Looking at the flow of the Luck Pillars, it is a structure in which this task is solved in order. The early Sin-hae (辛亥), Im-ja (壬子) and Gye-chuk (癸丑) periods are times when water energy comes in one after another, so the doors of sensitivity and learning may have opened early in childhood. After that, in the Gap-in (甲寅) and Eul-myo (乙卯) periods, wood grows stronger, and work, responsibility and relationships can pile up heavily. In this period, learning the skill of resting and the skill of saying no, rather than adding more work, is the core of growth.

Then in the Byeong-jin (丙辰) and Jeong-sa (丁巳) periods the pressure of fire grows, but Jin (辰) earth acts as a buffer that takes the heat. In the Mu-o (戊午) and Gi-mi (己未) periods the Useful God, earth (土), comes in head-on, a good flow for gaining stability and protection. It can be seen as a chart in which the heart deepens toward old age.

Put into practice, there are three directions. First, do not try to solve everything alone; practise asking for help. Second, do not wait for perfection; try expressing yourself while still unfinished. Third, keep learning and teachers close. Because the Resource (印星) energy is weak, leaning on trustworthy teaching is not weakness but the wisest growth strategy. This year and next are the middle and tail end of the Three Disasters (三災), so use them for sorting out and laying foundations rather than big expansion. From 2028 the flow is likely to become much lighter.

Patterns of Inner Conflict

Your inner conflict reads in three main strands. The first is a clash between "the me who has to" and "the me who wants to rest." The fire (火) that serves as Direct Officer (正官) and Seven Killings (偏官) keeps pressing on the Day Master (日干), so the standards you set yourself and the expectations from outside overlap into pressure. At such times the body sends a signal first. If your shoulders stiffen or your sleep turns shallow, do not hold on by willpower; try taking one thing out of your schedule.

The second is the sharp side made by the Sharp Blade (羊刃). You may be gentle usually, but when you pass your limit, knife-like words jump out, and a pattern can form in which regret lingers long afterward. When emotion rises, do not react right away; count to ten or step away briefly. Washing your hands in cold water is also a small way of borrowing water (水) energy.

The third is the sense of misalignment pointed to by the Yin Mismatch (陰錯殺) and the Void (空亡). Your heart and the other person's response cross each other a beat off, and you tend to feel that what you put in does not get across. In particular, because the O (午) of the hour pillar is Void, you may feel an "emptiness that cannot be grasped" in areas concerning old age, children or the results of your work. It is good to take this not as lack but as a signpost telling you to enjoy the process without clinging to results.

The Severance (絶) in the day and year branches is easily linked to loneliness, but it is at the same time the strength to start anew in any situation. The direction of healing comes together into one. Let feelings flow out in words or writing, show your weak side to one or two people you trust, and fill up earth (土) with the basic rhythms of life (meals, sleep, an orderly space). Remember the order: do not try to solve problems of the heart with the heart alone; soothe the body and the environment first.

Meditation and Self-Care

A method that mixes sitting still in meditation and meditation in gentle movement suits you well. Yours is a chart with a busy head, so following the instruction "empty your thoughts" from the start may actually be hard. Instead, methods that anchor you in the senses are good: counting breaths, walking meditation focusing on the feeling in the soles of your feet, or tea meditation where you drink warm tea slowly and feel its temperature and aroma. While you focus on the senses, your scattered mind settles like earth (土).

Practice done alone is the foundation. In crowded places, the sensitivity of Sin (辛) metal absorbs the surrounding energy too much and you tire easily. Ten minutes every morning or before sleep is enough, so fix the time and place. On top of that, adding once or twice a month a quiet small gathering or a retreat such as a temple stay soothes loneliness without being a burden.

For surroundings, places close to water and soil are better than the middle of a city. Valleys, lakesides, seashores and forest paths balance the missing water (水) and the wood (木). If that is not possible, a half-body bath or foot bath in warm water at home, or playing the gentle sound of water, can also have an effect. Since fire (火) is strong in your chart, avoid intense exercise on midsummer afternoons or late at night; slow movement in the early morning or around sunset is good.

The basis of self-care is keeping mealtimes and sleep times regular. Earth foods such as grains, root vegetables and warm broth stabilize the body. Lastly, when you finish the day, try writing down "one thing I did well today." Setting down for a moment the sharp blade that judges yourself, and handling yourself gently as if polishing a gem, is the best medicine for this chart.

The big picture: the flow of a lifetime

The Plot of the Story That Is You

If your chart were a book, it would be close to "a coming-of-age novel in which cool autumn metal (金) polishes its own light among spring trees." Your Day Master (日干) is Sin (辛) metal, that is, a well-cut gem. You were born in the Sul month (戌月) of late autumn, a season when metal gains strength, but around it stand two Myo (卯) wood and one Gap (甲) wood. It is the picture of a raw stone in the earth surrounded by a forest. There are also two fire (火), so the heat of polishing never lets up, and there is no water (水) at all, so a stream to cool that heat is scarce. That is why this story tends to begin quietly and at times in solitude, but as time passes it flows toward a light that deepens as you refine yourself. Reading a Saju chart is not about guessing fate. It is a tool for self-reflection, "turning the light back" (回光返照), that is, turning the light inward to shine on yourself. So please read this plot not as a fixed ending but as a table of contents that tells you the great task you have to work through in this life.

The Time That Shines Brightest and the Time That Asks the Most

Of the four pillars, the place that shines brightest is youth, the Cap & Sash (冠帶) in the month branch (月支). It is the image of putting on the cap and tying the sash, the time when the energy to step out into the world and make a name for yourself rises vigorously. This is also why it comes naturally to you, in the period of establishing yourself (立身) in your twenties, to state your views clearly and to seek learning and recognition.

By contrast, the places that ask the most are childhood and middle age. The year branch and day branch are both Severance (絶), so you may often feel the bleakness of roots that seem cut off, or the sense that "I start from scratch, alone." If you have memories of having had to open your path by your own strength rather than with the help of family or circumstances2, it is quite likely connected to this structure. Still, Severance is not an end but also the place just before a new sprout comes up again. It is like the time a seed catches its breath under the winter ground. If in middle age you build the foundations of relationships and home slowly, without hurrying, this place turns instead into the strength to begin anew.

Old age is the place of Sickness (病), and on top of that Void (空亡) overlaps it. It would be good to take this as a signal to look after your stamina and health from early on. Fortunately, the Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) sits in this place, so it can be read that there will be someone beside you to lend a hand even when your strength wanes.

Three Values Your Life Moves Toward

The first is depth. Sin metal is not iron that wins by striking hard; it is a gem that reveals its grain through long polishing. You tend to find satisfaction in the discernment gained by digging into one thing to the very end11, more than in visible achievement. Because there are two fire, this process of refinement can at times feel hot and harsh.

The second is independence. The Severance in the year and day branches can feel like the anxiety of having nothing to lean on, but if you endure it long enough it turns into a firm self-trust: "I stand on my own strength." The Cap & Sash and Sharp Blade (羊刃) energy of the month branch also back this independence. But the Sharp Blade is like a whetted knife, so sharpness easily shows in your words and decisions. You need the habit of pausing a beat before speaking, as if reaching for the sheath.

The third is stability. Since your Useful God (用神) is earth (土), your life ultimately heads toward unshaken ground, that is, people, work and a home you can trust. The ground must be firm for a gem to keep its light for long. Building up a steady and trusted place, rather than a dazzling leap, is the best path for you.

The Great Task to Work Through in This Life

The greatest task your chart holds out is "joining what is dry and what is broken." With no water (水) among your five elements, the channels that cool your feelings and let them flow, that is, rest, tears and flexibility, easily run short. Because fire and wood keep feeding each other, thoughts never stop in your mind, and you tend to run on having forgotten how to rest. It is like a flame growing steadily larger on dry wood. Habits that make a path for feeling to flow, such as time deliberately left empty each day, warm water, walking or writing, are the first step in this task. Staying close to where water flows, that is, to the energy of the north or of winter, also helps.

The second task is "not fearing the empty place." The Void of old age and the Severance of the day branch tell you that moments may come when relationships or foundations feel hollow. Rather than hurrying to cling to people or work to fill that hollowness, you need to practise accepting the empty place as space for something new to come in. Also, in a year like this one (2026), the middle year of the Three Disasters (三災), slow big decisions by a tempo, and until the Three Disasters leave next year, put your weight on looking after body and mind. The inner work of untangling things this way is long, but it leaves a depth that only those who go all the way can have.

The Great Gift Fate Hands You

Your chart has auspicious stars (吉星) prized in Korean Myeongni placed in several positions. First, the Heavenly Noble (天乙貴人) sits in old age. It means that precious connections who give unexpected help in hard times gather in the latter half of life, a firm support in old age. Next there are the Heaven Virtue Harmony (天德合) and Moon Virtue Harmony (月德合). These are stars in which the virtue of heaven and moon wraps around you through combination, so they act as a protective shield that helps disaster pass lightly in moments of crisis. Though the way these three auspicious stars come together does not fully constitute the Three Wonders (三奇) pattern, it can be called a blessed composition whose grain touches on it. Rather than declaring it the orthodox pattern, it is more fitting to read it as having several forces that watch over you from nearby.

It is also worth noting that the General Star (將星殺) appears in two places. It means you have the capacity to lead a group or become the center of a specialist field. The energy of the Useful God, earth (土), only puts down roots when the Luck Pillar enters Byeong-jin (丙辰) around age 55, coming in through Jin (辰) earth. So the blessing of Salary and Horse (祿馬) does not come all at once but ripens step by step after middle age.

In the near term, 2028 Mu-sin (戊申) and 2029 Gi-yu (己酉) bring in Resource (印星) energy and the energy of Friend and Establishment, the time when life becomes most secure. It is a good season to prepare learning, qualifications and a stable position, so I hope you will use this year and next as time to choose seeds and prepare to meet that time.

Overlaying the flow of life on the Korean life cycle, your twenties are a time of laying the ground for establishing yourself along with the Gye-chuk (癸丑) Luck Pillar, and in your thirties the challenge toward independence grows with the Gap-in (甲寅) energy. The forties of Eul-myo (乙卯) are busy with thick wood energy and prone to impatience, so stability should be built without hurrying; in the fifties of Byeong-jin (丙辰), the "turning back of the light" (回光) begins and, as the Useful God earth enters, you come to reflect on your own life. The sixties of Jeong-sa (丁巳) have strong fire energy, a time to put down desire and draw inward.

To You: One Word

You are someone who has long been learning how to grow firm on your own. At times it must have been lonely and at times bleak, but because of that time your light is not thin but deep. Now it is time to learn one more way to protect that light. It is to open the channels of your heart, to take care of your body, and to gladly take the hand of the precious person beside you. It is all right not to hurry. A gem shines more clearly the longer it is polished. You may think of the empty place not as lack but as a margin still to be filled.

Saju does not determine fate; it is a map for living well.

04The reading against the record

The numbers match the badges in the text above. The upper line is what the reading said; the lower line is the documented fact.

1
there were likely many moments when you had to judge for yourself and endure from early on
In Russian-ruled Warsaw women could not enroll in regular institutions of higher education. After finishing the gymnasium she kept studying at the clandestine 'Flying University', which met out of sight of the authorities.
2
If you have memories of having had to open your path by your own strength rather than with the help of family or circumstances
From 1886 she worked as a live-in governess for a household in Szczuki, and at the end of 1891, at 24, she moved to Paris and enrolled in the Faculty of Sciences at the Sorbonne.
3
The theme is a school period in which talent and expression burst out
This Luck Pillar covers 1877 to 1886. In June 1883, at 15, she graduated from a Warsaw gymnasium with a gold medal.
4
it is a very good period for building specialist knowledge and qualifications systematically
This Luck Pillar covers 1887 to 1896. At the Sorbonne she took her licence in physics in 1893, ranked first, and her licence in mathematics in 1894, ranked second.
5
they favor study, preparing for qualifications and building skills at your first job
In 1894 the Society for the Encouragement of National Industry commissioned her to study the magnetic properties of various steels. This commission was the first scientific research she did in Paris.
6
Apprenticeship-style learning, that is, learning while working in the field, also suits you well
In 1890 and 1891 she had her first practical training in a chemistry laboratory at the Museum of Industry and Agriculture in Warsaw. Her start was at a lab bench, not in a lecture hall.
7
delicate fields such as appraisal and assaying
In 1898 she measured the strength of radiation from samples precisely with an electrometer and established that the uranium ore pitchblende was more active than its uranium content could explain. The search for an unknown element began with that measurement.
8
In science and technology, a form with experiments, practice and field application attached is better than digging only into theory
She was an experimental scientist all her life. Obtaining 0.1 g of radium chloride by chemically processing about a tonne of pitchblende between 1898 and 1902 was work done by hand at the bench.
9
Like metal that only takes shape once it is heated in fire, you are a person whose results become more refined under pressure
Most of the radium separation work was done in a shed next to the School of Industrial Physics and Chemistry (ESPCI) in Paris, a former dissecting room that was poorly ventilated and let in the rain.
10
In the Twelve Life Stages it is Womb (胎), the starting point where a new board is laid out
This Luck Pillar covers 1897 to 1906. At the end of 1897 she took Becquerel rays as her doctoral research topic, and in 1898 she announced the discovery of polonium in July and radium in December. The Curies also coined the term 'radioactivity' at this time.
11
You tend to find satisfaction in the discernment gained by digging into one thing to the very end
In 1902 she isolated radium chloride and measured radium's atomic weight as 225, and in 1910, with André Debierne, she isolated metallic radium. She carried one element from discovery to pure metal over twelve years.
12
You are not a person who leads with words but one who earns trust through accurate results
In June 1903 she received her doctorate from the University of Paris, and in December of the same year she became the first woman to receive the Nobel Prize in Physics.
13
at each major turning point in life you can find the courage to change direction
Starting in physics, she received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 and, in 1911, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry alone. She is still the only person to have won Nobel Prizes in two different sciences.
14
In the Twelve Life Stages it is Severance (絶), a turning point where old ways are cut off and new ways begin
This Luck Pillar covers 1907 to 1916. Appointed the first woman professor at the University of Paris in May 1906, she became full professor in 1908, and with the completion of the Radium Institute in 1914 she moved from researcher at the bench to head of a research institution.
15
a midlife reorganization in which the range of wealth widens and the board of people and work changes
When the First World War began in 1914 she turned to battlefield radiology. As director of the Red Cross Radiology Service she set up 20 X-ray vehicles and about 200 radiology units in field hospitals in the first year.
16
The General Star (將星) appearing twice is a sign that you have the skill to take charge of a team or a field and lead it
She headed the Curie laboratory of the Paris Radium Institute, which opened in 1914, for close to twenty years.
17
it also fits well with inspection, specifications, and precious metals and precision instruments
In 1911 she sealed 21.99 mg of radium chloride in a glass tube to make the first international radium standard. It was deposited at the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in Sèvres in 1913, and she also calibrated the secondary standards for national laboratories.
18
building trust through skill goes much farther than standing up against authoritarian bosses or rules
In January 1911 she lost the election for membership of the French Academy of Sciences by 28 votes to 30. In November of the same year she was named sole winner of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
19
Since there are no Output stars, the startup type, where you must handle promotion and sales alone, is a heavy burden
She did not patent the radium purification process. The radium industry grew, but she gained almost nothing from it.
20
The theme is accumulated experience bearing fruit as position and trust
This Luck Pillar covers 1917 to 1926. In 1922 she was elected a member of the French Academy of Medicine.
21
The seat of a leader, adviser or mentor suits you
In 1922 she became a member of the League of Nations International Committee on Intellectual Cooperation and served until 1934. In 1925 she laid the cornerstone of the Radium Institute in Warsaw.
22
open a path of becoming a Noble yourself and helping juniors or students
She trained many researchers at the Radium Institute. Her doctoral student Marguerite Perey discovered francium in 1939 and in 1962 became the first woman elected to the French Academy of Sciences.
23
In late life, the sense of reward tends to come alive in things passed on to people, such as teaching, records and hobbies, rather than in wealth or status
In 1932 the Warsaw Radium Institute, founded on her initiative, opened. Until her last year she worked on the textbook Radioactivité, which was published in 1935.
24
Study, certificates and trustworthy seniors or teachers may have been great assets in this period
She received her doctorate from the University of Paris in June 1903 under the supervision of Gabriel Lippmann.

Where it missed

Showing only the hits would make this an advertisement, not evidence. Below are passages where the same reading was plainly wrong. In the text they are not hazed; they are marked with a dotted line.

M1
I recommend the qualification and professional type as first priority and the civil service and public institution type as second
A miss. She was a basic-science researcher all her life. The passage assumes Korea's licensing and civil-service tracks, so it never applied to someone born in Warsaw in 1867.
M2
Energy is drawn toward reality, work and money, so it may become hard to sit down deeply and study
A miss. Ages 31 to 50 (1897 to 1916) contain her doctorate (1903), both Nobel Prizes (1903 and 1911), the isolation of metallic radium and her Treatise on Radioactivity (1910). It was the deepest stretch of her research.
M3
there is a tendency to be on edge on exam day or for small errors and slips to come out
A miss. A gold medal on graduating in 1883, first place in the physics licence in 1893 and second in mathematics in 1894: her recorded exam results were at the top throughout.
M4
It means your mind easily runs first to things of immediate use rather than to time for reading and reflection
A miss. The Becquerel rays she chose as her doctoral topic were a phenomenon with no known use at the time. She made her name in basic research that followed the phenomenon itself, not its usefulness.
M5
The brightest time is the Byeong-jin (丙辰) Luck Pillar (ages 51-60)
Mixed. Recognition continued in 1917 to 1926, with her election to the Academy of Medicine and her work on the international committee. But her discoveries and both Nobel Prizes all fall in ages 31 to 50 (1897 to 1916).

05What this report does not claim

This is a post-hoc comparison. We picked the passages that fit a life we already know. It does not mean that someone handed these eight characters in 1867 could have said she would find new elements.

Passages that do not fit are not marked as hits. The text still contains statements unrelated to her life, such as ones about Korean licensing exams for tax accountants and real estate agents, or which zodiac animals make good colleagues. The plainly wrong passages are collected at the end of section 04. The haze is there to draw the eye to the matched passages, not to hide anything; turn off the switch and the full text appears as it is.

Charts with the same structure are common. A Sin metal Day Master with plenty of Wealth and Officer stars and no Water is not rare, and most people who have one never set foot in a laboratory or won a Nobel Prize.

Health, death, private life and family are not covered. The text has several passages on the father, mother and spouse positions and on the body in later life; none of them carry match marks. Using a real person's chart to discuss illness, death, marriage or family has neither a basis nor any decency.

The birth time is disputed. The Astro-Databank AA rating rests on 12:00, quoted from the baptism certificate. A secondary source (Grant Lewi), citing Eve Curie's biography, gives "soon after sunrise" instead, around 7 in the morning. At that time true solar time would fall near the boundary between 卯時 and 辰時, and the hour pillar would be 辛卯 or 壬辰 rather than 甲午. The year, month and day pillars would not change, but the passages that lean on the hour pillar (the Heavenly Noble in later life, the Void on 午, Sickness in the hour pillar and so on) would. We followed the primary record, the baptism certificate.

What can be reproduced is the calculation. The time correction, the stems and branches, the Luck Pillar ages and the conditions under which each symbolic star applies: anyone using the same inputs gets the same results. What comes after that is interpretation.

OrientellerThe same engine reads your eight characters

The text above was not written specially for this page. It is exactly what Orienteller's in-depth reading produced when given one chart. The same engine takes a date, time and place of birth and writes to the same depth.

Before that, it gets the time right. It corrects for daylight saving time, longitude and the equation of time, judges the 節氣 (solar terms) in a separate frame, and tells you how many minutes remain to the nearest double-hour boundary. If one of the eight characters is wrong, the reading of the other seven goes wrong with it.

Saju is not a tool that tells a fixed future. It is an old language for reading the arrangement of a person's temperament and the grain of the times they move through. Orienteller's work is to translate that language accurately.
