Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Orienteller (the “Service”) is operated by MonoInc Inc., a corporation registered in the Republic of Korea (Business Registration Number 866-35-01473; Mail-Order Sales Business Report Number filing in progress (Yeongdeungpo-gu Office, Seoul)), with its place of business at Room 101, Dream Plaza B138, Yeongjung-ro, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul 07255, Republic of Korea (collectively, “Orienteller,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing credits, or otherwise using orienteller.com, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Orienteller is an AI-assisted interpretation service for Korean Palja astrology. We compute deterministic birth charts (year/month/day/hour pillars, Five-Phase balance, ten gods, useful god, luck cycles, deities) from the date, time, and place of birth you provide, and use a large language model to generate written readings in Traditional and Modern voices, as well as compatibility reports.

The Service is provided for entertainment, reflection, and self-exploration only. Readings are not professional medical, psychological, financial, legal, or relationship advice and must not be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.

3. Payment processor (Merchant of Record)

Our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record for purchases is Gumroad, Inc., a Delaware corporation in the United States (“Gumroad”). Gumroad handles your transaction, including issuing receipts, collecting applicable taxes (VAT, GST, US sales tax, etc.), and providing primary support for payment-related questions. By purchasing credits, you agree to Gumroad’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy in addition to these Terms.

4. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.
• Provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits is prohibited and may result in suspension and forfeiture of credits.
• You may close your account at any time from Account or by emailing us. See our Refund Policy for credit handling on closure.

5. Credits

• The Service uses prepaid credits (branded as 푼 after the historic Korean copper coin; 1 푼 = 1 reading credit). The current credit cost of each reading type is displayed at Pricing and in the relevant order screens.
• Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for currency outside the platform.
• New accounts receive a one-time free credit for the free preview reading. We may modify the free credit grant for future signups.
• Unused credits remain in your wallet for 24 months from the date of the most recent purchase or top-up; we may notify you before any expiration.
• Refund eligibility for unused or partially used purchases is described in our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit information about a third party without their consent (use the Service only for yourself or people who have authorized you to draw their chart);
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the Service;
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute readings without our written permission;
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or discriminate against any person or group;
• Attempt to disrupt the Service, abuse infrastructure, or circumvent rate limits or paywalls.

7. Intellectual property and your readings

• The Service, including software, design, prompts, brand, and underlying astrological computation logic, is owned by Orienteller and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
• You retain ownership of the birth data you submit. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to process it for the purpose of producing your readings and operating the Service.
• The readings generated for you are made available under a personal, non-exclusive license for your own use. You may share an individual reading publicly via the share link feature we provide, but may not commercially redistribute readings as a stand-alone product.

8. AI-generated content

Readings are generated by a large language model based on a deterministic Palja computation. The deterministic chart is reproducible; the prose narrative is not, and may contain stylistic variation, simplification, or occasional inaccuracies. We continuously refine our prompts and models. The Service is provided “as is”; we make no warranty that any reading is exhaustive, predictive, or free of error.

9. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orienteller’s aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Gumroad for the Service in that period, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if your use exposes the Service or other users to risk, or if required by law. We will provide notice where reasonably possible. Credits earned through abuse may be revoked.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved by the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction that grants you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, nothing here removes that right.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Dispute resolution and external bodies

For any dispute arising out of the Service, please contact our support team first — we resolve most issues within a few business days. If we cannot reach an agreement, the following Korean and international bodies are available:
