Refund Policy
1. Overview
Orienteller sells prepaid credits (branded as 푼, after the historic Korean copper coin; 1 푼 = 1 reading credit) that you spend to receive AI-generated Palja readings and compatibility reports. Because each reading is digital content that is delivered to you the moment you choose to draw it, both the timing of your request and whether any credit from the purchase has been used determine refund eligibility. This policy explains what is refundable, what is not, and how to ask.
Your purchase is processed by our Merchant of Record, Gumroad, Inc. (“Gumroad”). Gumroad issues your receipt, handles taxes, and processes any refund Orienteller approves.
2. What is refundable
2.1 Fully unused purchase within 14 days
If you have purchased a credit pack and have not spent a single credit (paid or bonus) from that purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the purchase date. Refunds are made to the original payment method via Gumroad.
The refund amount is calculated on paid credits only (e.g., an 11-푼 pack at $24 refunds the full $24). Bonus credits are promotional and are not part of the refund amount, but they are revoked from your wallet at the same time.
2.2 Partial use — not refundable
2.3 Duplicate or accidental purchase
If you accidentally purchased the same pack twice within 24 hours and the duplicate meets the fully-unused condition in §2.1, we will refund the duplicate purchase.
2.4 Service failure
If a reading you paid for failed to generate due to a defect on our side (e.g., the underlying AI service was unavailable and our automatic retry exhausted), the spent credits will be returned to your wallet automatically. You do not need to request this.
3. What is not refundable
- Credits already spent on a successfully delivered reading, regardless of whether you found the reading personally satisfying. Readings are intrinsically subjective; we cannot refund based on disagreement with the interpretation.
- Any purchase from which at least one credit has been used (paid or bonus). See §2.2.
- Free credits granted at signup or as part of a promotion.
- Promotional bonus 푼 attached to a paid pack (e.g., the “+1 bonus” on the 11-푼 pack) — excluded from the refund amount and also revoked from your wallet at refund time.
- Requests made more than 14 days after the purchase date.
- Purchases from accounts found to have violated our Terms of Service (e.g., multiple-account abuse, fraudulent payment).
4. How to request a refund
You can request a refund in any of three ways:

From your account page (recommended): open My Account and find the purchase row in the “Credit history” table. Eligible purchases show a [Request refund] button.
What happens at submission. The moment you submit, the remaining credits from that purchase (paid + bonus) are immediately debited from your wallet. The refund itself is processed through Gumroad and typically posts to your card within 5–10 business days. - Through your Gumroad receipt: open the receipt email Gumroad sent you and use the “Need help?” or buyer support link, or visit gumroad.com/help and look up your purchase by email.

We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are typically credited back by Gumroad within 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer or bank.
5. Chargebacks
If you have a concern, please contact us first — it is faster than a chargeback. Filing a chargeback for a purchase that does not qualify for a refund under this policy may result in suspension of your account and forfeiture of any remaining wallet balance, consistent with applicable law. We always respond to chargeback inquiries from Gumroad with full transaction and usage records.
6. EU / UK / EEA consumer rights notice
If you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or EEA, you ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. This right does not apply to supply of digital content that has been performed with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, art. 37(1)(a); EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, art. 16(m)).
When you click “Draw reading” (or equivalent), you give that express consent and acknowledgement for that specific reading. Unspent credits from the same purchase remain refundable under Section 2 above.
7. South Korea consumer rights notice
Under the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Korean consumers ordinarily have a 7-day withdrawal right for digital products. This right does not apply where the content has already been provided and use cannot be reversed. As above, unused credits within the 14-day window remain refundable.
8. Account closure
Closing your account does not by itself trigger a refund of remaining credits. If you want a refund of any remaining unused credits eligible under Section 2 above, request it before closing the account.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance via email or on the site. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
